Hudson Table

5.0

  • Serves Prospect Park, NJ

Hudson Table is an interactive culinary studio and event space specializing in customized seasonal catering, hands-on cooking events, chef's tables, virtual events, and more! We currently have locations in Hoboken, Philadelphia, and Brooklyn, and service the surrounding areas.

Koray and the entire team at Hudson Table Catering are incredible. Hudson Table was our caterer for our wedding ceremony is July 2023. As an out of state bride, Koray worked with me via phone calls and emails throughout the wedding process to create a unique and delicious wedding menu. Koray was able to connect my husband and I with a fantastic bartender, Daniel, who created stunning drinks all night! The entire Hudson Table team was professional, easy to work with, creative, and attentive to our every need. I look forward to visiting both Hudson Table restaurants and hope to work with their catering services again!

Working with Ellen was wonderful. Her professionalism, courtesy and thoughtfulness were outstanding. Her food was both delicious and presented beautifully. I am so happy I went with her and will gladly call her again. So low key and genuinely a very nice person. She helped with so many things that were above and beyond her job. I highly recommend Ellen to cater your party. Mine was a graduation party at a community room in a NYC apartment building. It has difficult parking and drop off for all her catering materials. But Ellen made it work. She also helped me plan a very tasteful menu. Also her assistant, Alex, was so professional and diligent. They both really helped make my party a success!"

Modern Fusion - Catering

5.0

  • Serves Prospect Park, NJ

Awarded BEST Of Catering 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022 on ALL Major Platforms! Chef Angelo Napoli has been in the restaurant business his entire life. His passion and esteemed aspirations to become a chef grew stronger throughout the years while watching his father work in their family owned restaurant, Napoli Pizza. His love for delicious cuisine became an addiction. Competing throughout his early education in various culinary battles, Angelo knew he had a gift. He spent years mastering his craft, working sous chef and head chef positions at some of the Lehigh Valley's top restaurants!

When we first started planning our wedding, the only thing we knew for sure was that we wanted food everyone would talk about. Another priority was having vegetarian options that went beyond just pasta or cauliflower steaks.  Chef Angelo, and the whole team at Modern Fusion, completely blew our expectations away. From the moment we first reached out, he was responsive, collaborative, and patient in answering all the questions we threw at him.  When it came time to plan our menu, he worked with us to adjust their dishes to suit our (somewhat picky) tastes.  “Can this be made vegetarian?” “Can you make sure there are no nuts in anything?” “Can this dish be made a little less spicy?” Whatever we needed, Angelo assured us they could make it happen. We also threw out an idea that more or less combined two dishes. He was not only eager to accommodate our request, he seemed just as excited at the idea of the dish as we were. These early interactions went a long way in putting us at ease throughout the planning process. Then we had our tasting. Every single thing we had was so good that we were worried we were going to be disappointed come the wedding day. We thought, “There’s no way they’re going to be able to make everything *that* good for 100 people!” We were so very, very wrong.  Did the first guest we saw at cocktail hour say, “Congratulations!” or “Let’s take a picture?” No, I’m pretty sure they said “This food is so good, I’m already on my third empanada.” Which was exactly what we wanted to hear. And we continued to hear comments like that all night long. From the moment we reached out straight through to the end of the reception, Chef Angelo and his staff went above and beyond in every way imaginable. The day could not have gone better and we owe so much of that to them. Now I’m just trying to think up other occasions we could have catered so I can eat more of their incredible food.

La Mila Catering & Events

5.0

  • Starts at $75
  • Serves Prospect Park, NJ

Starting their careers in the restaurant and food industry, Elie & Heidi Hanna decided to utilize their unique experiences and create their own vision of a full service event company. La Mila is named after their daughter, Milana, who provides them with limitless inspiration and motivation.

As a classically trained chef, I hope my review of La Mila inspires anyone doing their “homework” to earn an A — for themselves, especially their guests. I’ve been to many weddings, and the food served is often an edible afterthought. How many times, when leaving a wedding, were you asked, “What did you think about the food?” — and you replied with shrugged shoulders, “Eh, it was okay.” That is not the case with La Mila. A huge shoutout and thank you to Sandy, who was able to pull together a phenomenal menu all in a very timely timeline. Sandy was honest, upfront, and available around our busy work schedule. The day before and the day of, Sandy was there to help with setup — from the big asks, like helping move furniture, to the small tasks—like lighting lanterns and ensuring no glass of champagne for our toast was served empty! Given our wedding took place at our home, we thoroughly appreciated Sandy staying late to clean the kitchen, empty overflowing garbage, and make sure our home was not a war zone when we woke up the next morning! Elie’s execution of our menu was stellar. As a classically trained chef, I was thoroughly impressed by the well-run machine Elie could create within our garage, the makeshift kitchen for the event. It rained on our wedding day, and we were blessed with a beautiful, vivid rainbow—right before dinner service. This blessing brought all our guests outside for 30 minutes—right before dinner. A major wrench in the moment-by-moment timeline. I know how this, for many chefs, can be a disruptive, unexpected delay—but Elie did not miss a beat. All of our guests raved about the food—notably friends who I graduated with from the Culinary Institute of America. One thing I learned in culinary school is that you “eat with your eyes first.” Simply put, Heidi’s presentation skills are on point! Her attention to detail in creating beautiful food displays, notably for our cocktail hour, showed the care, thought and love we wanted our guests to feel. Sandy, Elie, and Heidi may be the stars of La Mila’s show—but the success of our wedding would not have been possible without their hard-working and friendly staff. One of the elements that sold us on choosing La Mila, was their well-stocked arsenal of kitchen equipment they brought on site. (Most caterers require you rent equipment separately, which is not only more expensive, but introduces a whole new dimension of moving parts.) La Mila was also able to include chinaware, silverware, and the majority of our glassware! They even included soft drinks, water, condiments, cocktail napkins, etc. — all of this, and they still came in under what we were quoted by other caterers. Thank you, Sandy, Elie, Heidi, and the entire La Mila Catering & Events team, for making our wedding day what it was. Your talent, professionalism, and experience were felt by everyone who took part in our special day.

Events and Weddings By Allan

5.0

  • Starts at $2,500
  • Serves Prospect Park, NJ for additional fees

Welcome to Events and Weddings By Allan! Our family owned restaurant is a celebration of the Mediterranean region known for its fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and healthy dishes. Our Chef Allan Abbad uses authentic recipes and techniques that have been passed down through generations. Whether you are enjoying our signature hummus, falafel, or kebabs, you can be sure that you are eating the real thing. In addition to our exceptional cuisine, we offer planning services that are tailored to your needs and preferences. From menu planning to decor and party favors, we take care of everything so that you can sit back and enjoy the festivities.

I don’t know which was better, the ease of working with Allan and his wife or quality of the food? Both were amazing. The charcuterie station seemed to go on forever. There was something for everyone and Allan took into account dietary restrictions. Along with the charcuterie station there were salads as well as the main courses. They offered great selections and advice on what dishes would go best with the others. They also offered suggestions to cut down on the already economical prices. I would HIGHLY recommend Events and Weddings by Allan for all of your catering needs.
