Hi Kellie- I'm truly sorry that you feel that this was the experience you had. However, there are two sides to every story. We enjoyed getting to be a part of your special days. However, from the start, nothing went according to plan. First, you had asked us if we would work alongside another caterer as you had two separate Caterers coming one each family's side. We agreed that we would do it. This was a lesson learned on our part! Prior to the wedding, we accommodated you by coming to Ohio where we paid out of pocket for a flight from FL to be sure you could get a tasting in. You had reached out saying we would be providing catering for 75 guests. Later, this number dropped & you asked if we could provide service for the other side too. We were also asked to provide plates & place settings for 160 guests vs the "about 37 American guests" for the formal dinner. You also asked to have our servers stay and serve the entire party although other Caterers were supposed to be providing their staff to cater. This was not originally agreed upon in our quote, nor were you charged for it. Additionally, we were told that the first two meals were to be drop and go only and that we would only be feeding the "American side" of the family. The 1st day's meal started late and went much longer than our contracted time. We did not charge you for this. Also, during this time, the other catering company ended up taking all of our serving utensils, plates, napkins etc and my staff called me to inform me things kept being taken. We did not charge for this. There were several additional people eating that were unaccounted for on the 3 different meals we provided. We made an abundance of food to make sure that we could cover the additional guests that you did not pay for because we saw the pattern of them eating the food we brought instead. There is a huge difference between 55 and 160 guests as far as production, number of staff, and food cost that needs to be factored in and you were charged for none of this. You added appetizers and place settings that cost extra that were not in your original quote. Our staff returned on 3 separate occasions/days (with no service fee, travel fee, or gratuity paid by you) and were asked to set up the linens etc none of which was quoted and they complied with your coordinators request. They hauled things to multiple floors repeatedly when your event was behind schedule & were told they could not use the elevator. Prior to the dinner we went out and PURCHASED more real utensils for you because all of ours were taken at your first 2 events. This cost us an additional $450+time that you were not charged for. As for the refund (which really, you should owe us money after all the extras & add ons, and theft) we offered a check because it would be quicker, however your mother requested it back to her card so we honored her wishes. You did not pay for water goblets, your package included plates, utensils, & napkins which were provided. The food was the same meal with extra items provided & you didn't mention all the free dessert trays we brought to lunches just to be kind... that you never paid for. We had numerous compliments from your guests, the Groom's side guests, the staff of the venue, and were even contacted after via phone and email & asked to come back because they said our food was outstanding & the venue said their staff would love to work with our team. So this is a very interesting review. All the best to you!
