CountyLine Vineyard & Venue is an off the beaten path wedding venue set in the countryside of central Virginia. Shortly down the lane in view are a picturesque venue barn, vineyard, pre-civil war log cabin, and fields offering beautiful backdrops for a wedding ceremony, reception, and photographs. Artistic wood features abound throughout the barn. Much of the wood, harvested right from the property, was meticulously shaped by hand to add a warm artistic feel to the spaces within. Along with a 2,000 square foot banquet room, there's a bridesmaids get-ready suite, caterer's prep room, restroom facility, and an outdoor bar and patio areas. Also located on the property is a pre-civil war log cabin available for overnight accommodations for event guests. Its sanctuary was constructed in 1882, making it the second oldest religious structure still standing in the Town of Amherst. Starting in 2012, a grassroots group took the initiative to save a historic structure in the heart of Amherst, VA, and to re-purpose it as a creative community center. Located in the middle of a vibrant village, the goal was to provide a gathering place for events. The class architecture and details of this circa 1880s historic building is sure to compliment any theme. The antique checkerboard flooring adds a touch of eclectic flair. Couples can host a gorgeous outside ceremony on the concrete patio, or opt for a covered pavilion ceremony. The pavilion is open on three sides to bring the beautiful scenery indoors, but the sides and barn-style doors can be closed in the event of inclement weather. Inside the pavilion, lighting is provided by lanterns and chandeliers, and a large hand-crafted fireplace takes spotlight, with rocks from the farm incorporated into its design. The outdoor patio is attached to the pavilion, creating an extra space that can be used for a ceremony, reception area, or dance floor. A second pavilion was completed in 2018 to provide reception space that is separate from the ceremony site, but within close proximity. This pavilion is completely enclosed and offers a gas fireplace as well as lanterns and chandeliers for lighting. As wedding guests arrive, wedding parties can use the bridal suite to get ready.
