Under the Oaks Farm is a privately-owned and managed 100-acre event & wedding estate situated in the beautiful VA countryside, offering a personal, intimate and memorable experience and a unique and spectacular wedding locale in a beautiful farm/barn setting. The simple elegance, personalized attention and southern hospitality that we offer is much different from that you expect from larger venues. The home dates back to the turn-of-the-century, with renovations made in 2018, preserving the original architecture and existing furnishings. The estate is authentic, historic, and eager to be the hosting venue for your most important day! We have a history of hosting a variety of special events and weddings, and can assist with planning your big day! We offer a variety of wedding day packages and onsite lodging for up to 12 guests. Poplar Hill is a 100 acre farm that was built in 1790. The home is surrounded by mature landscape with English boxwoods and crepe myrtles that are 100 years old. Every couple and family that come to Poplar Hill tell us that our pictures do not do it justice! The Carolyn Baldwin Lake Pavilion is named after our dear loved one, Carolyn Varner Baldwin, who unexpectedly passed away in 2008 due to an allergic reaction. She was the matriarch of our family and a beautiful, one-in-a-billion type of person with a generous and loving spirit. She was a talented gardener, a devoted fisherwoman who could out-fish the best of 'em (we're talking "sun-up-til-sundown" kind of fishing), was creative and artsy, and never knew a stranger. We felt it only fitting to name this lovely place in her memory. We are a family-operated business. Joanna is the General Manager and works with each client to accommodate varying event needs. She handles a wide range of aspects of the business, from answering questions about what will make your event run smoothly to giving you layout suggestions. She has worked with over 200 wedding & event clients over the last 10 years and has learned quite a bit about weddings & event planning through her experiences.

Nestled in the peaceful, rolling farmlands of Charles City, Open Air The Glebe is only 30 minutes from Richmond or Williamsburg. This 10 acre farm features a historic home, scenic tree-lined drive, multiple barns, and a large tented patio. You can have your rehearsal dinner in the Tractor Pavilion, host your wedding reception under our 60'x90' tent, continue celebrating with an after-party--or whatever you like for a day, or for a long weekend. Our philosophy is that a celebration should reflect the vision, the culture, the traditions of each couple, therefore we allow you to hire the vendors that you choose (the day should not reflect our tastes and that of our "preferred list" of vendors/friends). The Events Team of Open Air The Glebe has over 50 combined years working in the event industry, therefore you also get the benefit of all the experience and resources that we have. The Estate at River Run offers a dream setting to host a variety of elegant affairs. High on a bluff towering over the James River, this exquisite Georgian Revival offers 16,000 square feet of opulence, built by Taylor and Parrish Construction from 1981-1987. This stately Georgian features an upper brick promenade surrounded by a limestone balustrade and opens to a double curved staircase to the lower terrace. The mansion's interior boasts extravagant architectural embellishment. Marble floors, ornamental cornices, plaster friezes, 18-foot columns with gilded Corinthian capitals, and custom crystal chandeliers please the eye from the onset. A Jeffersonian pool house with a hexagonal raised dome presides over a circular pool with bluestone terraces and a limestone balustrade. Nearby, you will discover a tennis court complete with a covered viewing stand. The river view, serene grounds, and the magical sunsets are yours to enjoy when you host your event at The Estate at River Run.

CountyLine Vineyard & Venue is an off the beaten path wedding venue set in the countryside of central Virginia. Shortly down the lane in view are a picturesque venue barn, vineyard, pre-civil war log cabin, and fields offering beautiful backdrops for a wedding ceremony, reception, and photographs. Artistic wood features abound throughout the barn. Much of the wood, harvested right from the property, was meticulously shaped by hand to add a warm artistic feel to the spaces within. Along with a 2,000 square foot banquet room, there's a bridesmaids get-ready suite, caterer's prep room, restroom facility, and an outdoor bar and patio areas. Also located on the property is a pre-civil war log cabin available for overnight accommodations for event guests. The peaceful country setting offers many other options if you choose to celebrate your special day with an outdoor ceremony and reception.

We are a completely solar system venue, so not having power the day of your wedding will not be an issue. We offer multiple scenes for your pictures from open fields, apple orchard, pond, beach area, a creek, and woods. So much to choose from.
