Special Requests & Intimate Dining: We take pride in accommodating your special requests to make your event uniquely yours. Our Cottage on the Bluff offers an intimate space for rehearsal dinners or private dining experiences for up to 25 guests, adding a touch of exclusivity to your celebration.

The Boathouse Shelter Island is a private event space located on Shelter Island at the Island Boatyard and Marina. The recently renovated, 4,000 square foot space features over 200 feet of waterfront and incredible sunset views overlooking West Neck Harbor. The historic building, dating back to the 1920's, was originally used as boat storage. Today, it debuts a new look with versatility for any stylish event. Grammy award winning musician and East End resident Billy Joel recorded his album, River of Dreams, at The Boathouse in 1993.

“Working with Megan and the boathouse team was a dream. They're attention to detail and willing to work with us as a couple and our vendors was unmatched. The venue itself is the perfect place to plan a wedding. It's a blank slate and so working with our event designers, we were able to create the most incredible reception space with views of the bay and a cocktail party that our guests are still talking about to this day. If I could relive our day at the Boathouse I would do it over and over again. I recommend this venue and the team that supports it to anyone who is looking to host a wedding out on long island or Shelter Island in particular.”
