As you walk into the Little Chapel in-the-Woods you are entering into a tradition. Located on the edge of Texas Woman’s University, the chapel is a secluded sanctuary that has held weddings since September 1939, a few months before its dedication by Eleanor Roosevelt. We have two beautiful ballrooms to host the wedding reception of your dreams! The Chapel attendant is present to set up the chapel for the wedding, set up the sound system and instruct your vendors on usage, and to oversee the facility. They will be happy to provide limited guidance and answer any questions you may have about the rehearsal or processional. If you desire full-scale coordination you are welcome to provide a planner or even a friend with experience to manage the flow of your wedding ceremony.

We mixed old wood, rustic hardware, & treasures with new things to create the stand-alone one-of-a-kind look & vibe this venue has today. When you visit, you will see old wood mixed with twinkle lights, chandeliers, & antique stained glass from old church buildings. Putting these elements together has created a gorgeous warm & inviting space. Our venue also offers an attached covered pavilion(with drop-down windscreens for inclement weather) & twinkle lights above. This is an excellent place for most of our ceremonies. We love having the bride hidden behind the big wooden doors that slide open for her entrance! This fantastic space doubles as space for additional partying as the night goes on!
