Our event spaces

Wedding Court

Through arches of Winter Honeysuckle, you’ll find our very own secret garden.

The wedding court is our most popular ceremony option. What once use to be a simple freestanding fountain, is now a lush green room surrounded with Texas Native plants. The fountain still remains and dates all the way back to the 30’s. Today, it serves as a classic backdrop for wedding ceremonies in the gardens. The fountain lights up at night and was designed so that you can see it from multiple areas of the gardens.

Formal Gardens

Our beloved lily pond.

Our lily pond was completed in the 1940’s by the original owners of the gardens, Leon and Peggy Bandy. Today, it flourishes with Texas natives and serves as a timeless backdrop for wedding ceremonies and family photos. The lawn can layout a few different ways for a ceremony. The most common, is to have guests facing the pond. Other unique options include circling chairs around the flagstone, chairs facing away from the lily pond, and placing the chairs in a crescent shape.

The Wisteria is in full bloom for only 1 week a year, usually in March. It is a rare sight to see, if you hit it just right.

This unique arbor in the gardens is covered in original Chinese Wisteria. It was planted by Leon Bandy, the original owner of the estate that is now Weston Gardens. On the back of the arbor, there is a date reading 1933. This space is very popular for cocktail hours and ceremonies, the possibilities are endless!

Stone Ship (Groom's Loft)

A 80 year old stone ship that never quite took sail

Our historic ship dates all the way back to the 20’s and 30’s. It was built by the original owners of the gardens, Leon and Peggy Bandy as an outdoor oasis for dances and parties. Today, the ship serves a much different purposes. On wedding day, the ship is where the groom and groomsmen get ready and hang out prior to the ceremony. If you would like to utilize the ship after the ceremony, we offer an option to do ship tours or cocktail hour on the ship.

The Barn (Bridal Suite)

Get ready in style!

Our bridal suite is located in a historic barn that was part of the original estate built by Leon and Peggy Bandy. Downstairs, the floors are made of Bois d’arc wood bricks from downtown Main Street in Fort Worth. Upstairs, the entire room looks and feels like a tree house with the walls layered with cedar. The barn is where our brides spend most of their wedding day. We include 4-5 hours of time on site before the ceremony, giving bride’s plenty of time to get ready for their special day.

The place itself is magical, I love the gardens. Every time we visited the site I was reminded of the reason we booked there. We took advantage of having unlimited access to the grounds during the wait to wedding day. We took our engagement photos here as well. I thought the staff was delightful, everyone was so kind, and patient and they made our wedding day the best day!

Sue and Kaitlynn made our wedding day very special for us despite the threat of rain! We ended up coming up with a rain plan that was really lovely, and we were still thrilled with it even though the rain held out until the last half hour of the wedding. Kaitlynn was especially wonderful the day of—she knew I wanted questions to be directed to my maid-of-honor, and she handled all of the vendors to make my day as easy as possible. We are very happy with our choice.

  • One of the best venues I’ve ever been to

The Gardens is by far one of the most beautiful, calm, unique venues I’ve ever been to. Due to its size, there are many configurations of set ups that allows your event to feel one of a kind, yet still allowing a certain level of class and beauty no mater how elaborate or simple you chose to decorate. Mrs. Weston and her staff truly care about every single client that walks in their front door. I’ve had the pleasure of DJing there for over 10 years now. I’ve done all sorts of weddings and events, and each one has had their unique touch to them that has made them special and differentiated them from one another. From a “circus themed” reception, or a polka band perfomance, an axe throwing arena, to a classy shabby chic 1900’s downtown abbey wedding feel; Mrs. Weston and her staff work closely with their clients and share their experience and knowledge of how to achieve that perfect event. I’m not paid to advertise for them, but I’ve been to few venues where you’re not just a “person/client” but you’re family to them. That makes all the difference in the world in a venue. The Gardens isn’t just a venue to Mrs. Weston. There’s so much beauty and history their that she’s opening up a part of her life/home to others - and it shows by how much they interact and care for these events. My favorite part of the gardens, other then it being and feeling like a private botanical gardens, is the boat and the history it brings to the gardens. Back during prohibition, it use to be a speakeasy. Just imagine people back in the mid 1900s wanting to get together and socialize so much that people were willing to risk everything they had for that sense of community… In essence, people have been thriving to party and get together at the gardens for celebrations for a VERY long time, and I personally love being a part of those celebrations out there. There’s a sense of unity and togetherness that I can’t put my finger on, but I’ve not felt DJing in other venues.
