The original family that homesteaded the property came from Czechoslovakia. They built the hand-hewn log cabin on a boulder foundation and owned it for 112 years. Brady grew up in the home since '87 which has transformed over time into the gem that we have today. We kickstarted our journey at GarageTown LLC with our wedding in August, 2021. The Phelps, or “Turtle”, Fountain is the centerpiece of the Lyndale Park Annual-Perennial Garden. It was moved here from its former downtown site in Minneapolis’ Gateway Park. Lyndale Park Gardens encompass the Peace Garden, Rose Garden, Annual & Perennial Garden, and a Butterfly and Hummingbird Garden. The Peace Garden features hardy alpine plants and dwarf conifers and begins blooming in mid-April. The Annual/Perennial peaks in mid-June and the Rose Garden typically begins blooming in mid-June and lasts until early October. Butterflies and hummingbirds can be seen throughout the summer.
