Hey there! My name is Marilyn. I live in New York City with my sweet partner, and our orange cat Maple. I’m an introverted, soft-hearted mush with an insatiable need to document the beauty in life. Practicing self-portraits in middle school eventually led me to pursue my photography degree from New York University, and I have been joyfully creating photos of wedding days ever since. To me, weddings are a magical display of the human spirit. IT FEELS LIKE I HAVE ALWAYS HAD A CAMERA IN MY HAND. I GREW UP TAKING PHOTOS ON MY DAD'S OLD CAMERAS AN HAVING AN IMPROVISED STUDIO FOR DEVELOPING OLD FILMS WAS GREAT. WHEN I WAS 15 MY DAD BOUGHT ME A CAMERA AND I QUICKLY FELT IN LOVE WITH THE ABILITY TO CAPTURE MEMORIES AND FREEZE MOMENTS IN TIME. A FEW YEARS LATER, I AM A PHOTOGRAPHER BASED IN NEW YORK CITY BUT THAT LOVE FOR CAPTURING AUTHENTIC MOMENTS WITH REAL PEOPLE HAS NOT CHANGED. IT'S JUST AMAZING HOW A PASSION FOR PHOTOGRAPHY TURNED OUT TO BE MY DAILY JOB. I AM REALLY BLESSED EVERY MINUTE OF MY LIFE. I HAVE MANY YEARS OF EXPERIENCE NOW.

To date, there are only two images of me as a child. The first is my passport photo at the age of 1.5 months, the second is an image of me at the age of 8. Because of this, I have a deeper understanding, value and passion for photographs and imagery. With that said, I purchased my first camera at the age of 16 with my first paycheck! (used to flip burgers at a local Roy Rogers!). With that camera, I quickly learned how much I loved the art of documenting life with imagery and in 2012, I left a 16 year career in healthcare to follow my dream of becoming a photographer. I haven't looked back one day since then.
