We had the pleasure of being recommended High Voltage by Swan Lake and little did we know just how great that recommendation truly was! While it’s taken a minute to write this review, I wanted to have the time to fully express just how amazing High Voltage was, and how I genuinely don’t think our wedding would have been what it was without the amazing efforts of the High Voltage team! From the minute that I began speaking with Anthony and Angelo, it was a similar experience as with finding Swan Lake– I knew they were our DJ’s! Not only did they have everything we could have ever wanted or needed equipment wise, but they were so motivated and excited to work our wedding! My consult at their office was completely informative and so easy! While I don’t think I was a difficult bride, I had big ideas haha. Being that Swan Lake has several rooms and different areas, and music was so important to Britt and I, I had a unique vision to have different music playing in different rooms of the venue. I was sooo prepared to be told it wasn’t possible! But they did it and it was absolutely AMAZING. We did not have a sit down dinner service, but more like an endless cocktail hour, so guests were moving around all night… Every room had a different vibe, with music to match, all throughout the evening!. You were listening to alternative/emo in the bar and the foyer.. Mellow electronic in the ballroom and non stop epic dance track after dance track on the patio dance floor ALL. NIGHT. Every room I walked in and out of was filled with people having THE best time! Every announcement was made properly, everything was ran by me throughout the night and the guys kept me consistently in the loop (thwarting several not so great requests haha). They brought in and installed the most glorious red, orange and yellow colored uplighting throughout the entire venue– which COMPLETED my fall themed decor, it looked absolutely stunning. The entire night looked and sounded so beautiful and such a HUGE thanks goes to the High Voltage team. Thank you for making my music and lighting dreams come true, guys! “Let’s start with “WOW!” We had a music festival themed wedding with four bands so music was a critical piece of our wedding weekend and the standards were high. We interviewed over 20 bands from the NYC area and decided to go with Vitamin M after really vibing with their band leader, JJ. And boy are we glad we did! JJ worked with us to curate the perfect performance for us and our guests. He was able to balance dance songs and classics alongside some custom requests that went off the beaten path of most traditional weddings from the likes of The Band, Talking Heads and The Clash. He even helped us surprise our guests with a singing introduction of the bride and groom. He took time to get to know us and was always happy to answer any questions we had. This was not a cookie cutter wedding band performance. This is a group of truly talented professional musicians putting on a real show. We went to one of their live shows before booking them to play at our wedding and we knew immediately they were perfect. The band is 7 guys who you would want to be friends with -- which makes them blend in seamlessly at a wedding. Their range of songs is awesome. Everyone raved about their playlist, including a few of our guests who are huge music snobs. They also did an awesome job of getting everyone involved. People were dancing, singing along, even getting a second or two on the mic. It was like having a private live show at our wedding, which we loved and all of our guests loved. The vibe is much better than other wedding bands we've seen. On top of that they were incredibly easy to work with and accommodating. Brooks never made us feel bad for requesting songs, no matter how random, and they learned anything we asked them to that they had the right instruments for.
