The main bar area (1,500sq ft) is decorated very elegantly with crystal chandeliers and sofas, has a 20 ft bar and can seat 40 people, but can hold comfortably 60 people. We have a second inside space, our Lounge, that can seat 50 people at dining tables and has an 8ft x 16ft stage. Texas Rock House is a labor of love. My grandparents built the house and barns in the 1940's as a working farm for their family. My mother was the youngest of seven children that grew up here. I grew up almost across the street with my mom (Joyce), daddy (Buddy), and brother (Larry). Larry and I spent almost every Friday night here - listening to his records on Grandma's old record player or sitting on the back porch swing counting the number of cars on the trains as they passed by.
