I'm a visual enthusiast with a degree in Arts Management. My style is mostly photojournalistic, embracing natural and romantic elements. In each wedding, my aim is to craft something different and unique, capturing a set of storytelling moments that reflect the essence of the day. My passion for photography grew when my daughter, Lotus, was born in 2004 and I began documenting her childhood with an eye toward catching each irreplaceable moment. Soon, friends and then friends of friends asked me to photograph their children and families. Before long, I was documenting the lives and milestones of people all over the DMV area. I realized how happy I was connecting with people and capturing special moments, and so I launched Lotus Photography in 2012 - named for my first muse. I fell in love with capturing weddings in 2017 and I have been hooked ever since!

Chantilly National Golf & Country Club has both indoor and outdoor facilities for a beautiful wedding ceremonies and receptions. The outdoor site affords expansive views of the golf course, tall grasses, and pond. An indoor ceremony site is also available, complete with a wall of floor-to-ceiling windows that afford beautiful views of the course. When I was about 10 years old, my dad gave me a camera and I quickly became obsessed. My intrigue continued to grow over the years and I went on to earn my BA in Studio Art , Photography, from the University of Virginia. After graduating I worked as a portrait photographer and decided to pursue and earn my MFA in Imaging Arts from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
