The key to your wonderful weekend is that when you reserve our dining room, grounds and all 18 guest rooms, you and your family and friends are the only people at the inn, giving you exclusive use of our venue.

The 571-acre Scott Farm, a The Landmark Trust USA property, is home to 130 varieties of ecologically-grown heirloom apples and other fine fruits, a seasonal Farm Market, and the Apple Barn Event Center. A popular wedding venue, the farm is surrounded by four authentically-restored historic year-round vacation rental properties accommodating up to 22 guests—one of which is Rudyard Kipling’s Naulakha where he penned the Jungle Book. The Stone Trust Education Center, located in the 1862 Barn, showcases beautiful, unique dry-stone wall installations around the property. The authenticity of these structures has been painstakingly maintained and guarded since 1965. Located in the heart of The Adirondacks, and so close to Lake George, The Promise Gardens is an ideal location for wedding weekends on the lake. Let our beautiful 400-acre farm be the backdrop to your picturesque Vermont wedding or event. Our raw venue site sits on the side of a mountain, looking back across our family farm’s valleys, fields, and mountains. The site is located on the mountain across from our farmhouse and the area was made to accommodate a large event tent, it is approximately a 60’x200’ area. In addition to our venue site, we also have multiple possible ceremony locations available. Our farm is only a short drive from beautiful Brattleboro, Vermont, allowing accessible lodging for any guests traveling to help you celebrate your special day. With the help of our local and trusted vendors, we can help you create your Vermont dream wedding with our beautiful family farm as your priceless backdrop.
