The Alta House Event Center is a hidden gem conveniently located off I-80 and 37 minutes East of Des Moines. In 1972, 70-year-old Ben Vanderhook tore down old barns in Mahaska County and surrounding counties to create our beautiful barn, located a stone’s throw south of Oskaloosa, Iowa. The HarMac Event Space resides in the historic Harper & McIntire building in downtown Cedar Rapids, Iowa. ​Completed in 1922, the building was originally a warehouse and shipping facility for Harper & McIntire's industrial hardware.
