Welcome to 223 Main! Located in the Heart of Downtown Lemont’s historical district, just three doors down from the Metra Station, 223 Main boasts a storied origin. Initially built in the 1900s as a double storefront, it transformed throughout the century into a department store, political office, coffee shop, and now an event space. 223 Main is owned and operated by a local Lemont couple, Hector and Lauren Tamayo. Hector grew up in Lemont and always loved the downtown area. At the beginning of 2020, the coffee shop leasing the space decided to close down. While brainstorming what the building could be next, the Covid-19 Pandemic hit. Lauren and Hector decided to cancel their destination wedding and remodel 223 Main. After having their intimate wedding at the building, they decided to officially launch 223 Main and open the space up to the community to enjoy.

Our extraordinary venue features breathtaking grounds with unlimited backdrops for the most memorable pictures. All our weddings and events are allowed exclusive use of the estate grounds, mansion, and custom tent during your event time. We have an elegant Bridal Suite, a place to display your wedding dress. We also have the perfect Grooms Suite that is a man cave like no other with a poker table, craps table, foosball table, pool table, and guitar and sports memorabilia.

She always made herself available for calls, visits, etc. She was also very quick and thorough when responding to emails. She was an enormous help in making sure our big day was perfect - and in the end - it was perfect. The Monte Bello Estate makes for the perfect backdrop to your event - all staff members (coordinators, grounds crew, servers, bartenders, etc.) are all the best of the best. Every single person we interacted with there was helpful and kind, and the grounds are absolutely stunning. We would highly recommend Monte Bello and we are so happy we had this beautiful place for our wedding!”
