Both sides of the wedding party have access to "get-ready rooms," in the Historic Main House and the Old Stable. Available for events year-round, Burlington is a wedding venue located in Charles City, Virginia. The main house was first built in 1818 and has been recently restored and expanded. Burlington offers couples the exclusive use of the property for the duration of their occasion. Two outdoor ceremony sites are available, as well as an expansive indoor ceremony space that can double as a reception venue. The indoor wedding space in the Stables features exposed wooden beams and custom chandeliers, while the gardens and lawn offer views of the surrounding countryside for an outdoor ceremony. Both the indoor and outdoor spaces can accommodate up to 300 seated guests. The Bridal Cottage and Groom's Den allow the wedding party a private location to prepare themselves and relax before the ceremony. The Ice House Bar, an additional space converted from an 18th-century colonial ice house, can host cocktail receptions.

This stately Georgian features an upper brick promenade surrounded by a limestone balustrade and opens to a double curved staircase to the lower terrace. The mansion's interior boasts extravagant architectural embellishment. Marble floors, ornamental cornices, plaster friezes, 18-foot columns with gilded Corinthian capitals, and custom crystal chandeliers please the eye from the onset. A Jeffersonian pool house with a hexagonal raised dome presides over a circular pool with bluestone terraces and a limestone balustrade. Nearby, you will discover a tennis court complete with a covered viewing stand.
