Monica Re Martin

5.0

New York, NY
  • Solo performer

Monica Re Martin is a in-demand NYC violinist, violist and strings arranger - and the perfect contractor for your wedding! Monica performs regularly on Broadway, with the NYC Ballet, and with top artists such as Andrea Bocelli and Kygo. She can be seen playing weddings on TV shows like "Summer House" and "The Real Housewives of New Jersey." Monica is available as a solo violinist, both acoustic and electric, and as an instrumental duo, string trio, or string quartet.

I hired Monica and her quartet to play during our wedding cocktail hour! Monica was professional throughout and communicated really well with me from the moment I booked her to the day of the wedding! She offered to arrange songs for me that may not be on her very comprehensive list. We requested pop songs on strings and the vibe was perfect! I would highly recommend booking Monica to contract and play at your wedding!

Noir Hathor Sounds by Terrease Aiken

5.0

  • Solo performer
  • Starts at $1,500
  • Serves New York, NY

I am a NY-based Harpist with over 18 years of experience. I have been fortunate enough to play for dozens of professional events and weddings along the East Coast. I have performed at many different events, from weddings to corporate Holiday parties to tea parties to retirement parties. Some of the locations I have been lucky to perform include the Marriott Marquis in Times Square and The Willard Intercontinental in Washington D.C. Most recently I was selected to be a featured musician on an episode of the Drew Barrymore show!

We cannot speak highly enough of Terrease, her skill, and her professionalism! My partner and I had not known we wanted live music for our wedding ceremony until we saw a video of her performing. Terrease was an incredible addition to our wedding ceremony. Her musicianship was astounding, and she was a delight to work with---organized and communicative and generous. When we had to move our wedding ceremony indoors last-minute, Terrease went above and beyond to make it work, and was extremely flexible and patient. We could not be more grateful for her willingness to be a part of our event and encourage anyone to work with her. She is an absolute delight and incredibly talented!

LIAT (singer/songwriter)

5.0

  • Solo performer
  • Starts at $1,200
  • Serves New York, NY

With her earthy acoustics, dark melodies, and rich vocals, singer-songwriter Liat has been captivating live audiences for over fifteen years. After years of performing in the pulsing cities of Philadelphia and New York, Liat moved to Colorado, where she drew inspiration from the folk music of the mountains. Her music evokes her itinerant life and Israeli-American heritage— 90s’ pop-rock meets 60s’ folk with glints of Middle Eastern desert soundscapes. She spins guitar acoustics with her powerhouse vocals for lyrical “dark folk” sounds that linger long after a performance.

My husband and I chose Liat to perform at our wedding and it was the perfect fit to make our reception memorable. My favorite part was Liat playing her guitar and singing as my husband and I shared an intimate first dance on the beach at sunset. Her voice was so beautiful and it made the moment perfect. She was easy to work with and extremely accommodating. She also was able to provide many different kinds of songs for everyone to enjoy. I would definitely recommend using her for your big day- you won’t regret it!

Matt was absolutely spectacular from the moment that we reached out to him to the end of our cocktail hour. We wanted something different for our ceremony and our cocktail hour. My husband is a huge fan of Jurassic Park and he did a beautiful acoustic version of the theme song for the ceremony as well as an acoustic version of Stevie Ray Vaughan. His communication was prompt, and he sent multiple variations of samples of his songs months in advance. All of our guests enjoyed him and we’re singing his praises. We highly recommend.

JIM LOFTUS Pianist/Singer/1-Man-Band/ORGANIST

5.0

  • Solo performer
  • Starts at $300
  • Serves New York, NY

I am a pro pianist/singer/keyboardist and Church organist performing since 1983 in the Lehigh Valley of PA prominently but also Philadelphia/Philly suburbs/MontCo/Bucks/Chester/Berks; also extensively in NYC/NJ; trips include Syracuse/Albany NY, Alexandria VA, Atlanta GA and Las Vegas for private events. I play wedding ceremonies and receptions/private corporate events/birthdays/anniversaries/house parties on either a provided piano OR as a "one-man-band" on my YAMAHA PSR1500 keyboard. I'm a Church organist as well since the late 1970s if that was a need a client was seeking.

We knew we made the proper decision immediately. From the very beginning Jim reached out to us to share examples of his work, his song selections (and boy are there so many different genres to choose from) and assist us with suggestions that seemed to work for previous guests. As we got closer to our event, Jim continued to “check in” with us. We felt very comfortable and excited and Jim did not disappoint us. He not only played our requests, he played all of the musical requests. He was amazing. He had energy, played and sang extremely well, was professional and helped make the whole evening just perfect! He even followed up with us afterwards ....”just checking in”. What a guy - dependable, professional, talented and fun. We could not ask for more.

What music packages are available for weddings in New York City?

Whether you want a string quartet to serenade your ceremony, a 12-piece band, or a DJ to drop beats until dawn, there's a package for every style and budget in New York City. The music package will vary depending on the group, number of performers, hours played, and more, so make sure to review all of the details in advance to ensure the soundtrack to your wedding plays without a hitch.

How do we coordinate our wedding timeline with the band or DJ in New York City?

Communication is key. Your band or DJ should be in sync with your wedding day schedule, hitting the right notes at the right moments.
