Extremely Negligent - contract vague on purpose

Her part time coordinating contract is vague on purpose so she can be as negligent as possible. I basically planned my own wedding. It gets progressively worse so buckle in..She didn’t get a COI done & said she did it, but I had to remind her because my venue said she did not. Then later, her COI is expired! When she quoted me for decor, she forgot my bridal bouquet! Forgot to quote the wedding sign & seating & that we wanted candles & florals for ceremony aisle. She didn’t care & did the bare minimum the entire time. On the final walk thru, she asked questions of the caterer that were already discussed including if it was disposable or if they did set up..she took up our hour w/ our venue & caterer to ask ?s she should’ve already known, had she put any time into our wedding besides day of. It was clear she never read a contract from our venue or caterer & just wanted to take up our paid for time. It was embarrassing. All she did beforehand was send links to her vendor recs, answer some questions & just say “looks pretty” b/c I’d send her all the things I wanted. The Groom had to drill our own arch! A drill is a basic part of a coordinator (PT or DOC) kit! The best man had to bring it. I made things as easy as possible because her lack of care or attention concerned me I made a shared decor album w/ a comment like “rented - comes with stand” just to find out at the rehearsal the day before the wedding she didn’t have access to it anymore. She was happy we didn’t have that much decor - what an easy check she got. I even sent her the link to the arch directions but then blamed me for not telling her a drill was needed - it’s a wood arch, of course it does, I bet she didn’t have a hammer either. Tried to convince me to use the battered arch the venue had they would’ve charged us for. She didn’t put the bar menu I put so much effort in out & when I said something after, she said oh it was windy - well what about that the inside? Lol. Our memorial photos & frames remained in a plastic basket w/ bubble wrap in plain view on our guest table, but she set out the sign, so guests were confused & asked about it. The seating chart was put right in front of our sweetheart table, she blamed the rain, other vendors, or us everything. Multiple times I had to remind her to text me back. It’s extremely unprofessional to bring your husband & 3 young kids as well. We tried to negotiate to meet in the middle, but she said oh a lot of ppl act like they’re not happy when it’s time to pay the other half - LOL. Apologized several times but was quick to defend herself & had no heart to negotiate. She forgot to tell DJ we had an uncle who wanted to give a speech, he even typed & printed it (more material than I’ve ever seen her with) & she never told him. All she does is blame other people. As soon as we realized she didn’t have a heart to be honest with herself, she said, “ok Lindsay are you done?” Right after we just sent her money she scammed out of us. Run from this business.

I really could not thank Karla enough! I hired her super short notice and she pulled through! She went above and beyond to make sure things were perfect! You cannot go wrong with hiring her. She is extremely responsive, professional, and accommodating. Karla’s services were exceptional and she is an exceptional individual!
