Oh, you're committing to me for the rest of your marriage. :) The amount of support genuinely depends on where you're at in the planning process. I don't track hours spent as part of my packages, so if you need a bit more nurturing here and there, that won't phase me. I'm here for you to hype up your decisions and make sure you're feeling AMAZING about your plans.

Are you part of a team? Who will we be working with?

Cue Kelly Clarkson's "Miss Independent". I work primarily solo but have THE best planners on call for backup (who I've worked with for almost a decade) should life happen and prevent me from providing my services. I also have a bestie who helps with set up and tear down on occasion. I hope you get to meet her!

Question 4

Do you also plan other events, like showers or rehearsal dinners?

I've helped organize Rehearsal dinners and Brunches. I've put in the most hours working weddings but am always open to other events. I'll point you in the right direction for someone better suited for your specific vision if it's not in my wheelhouse. My absolute favorite event I've ever helped put on was my mom's Art Festival for her elementary school as a fundraiser for the PTA. I was raised with parents who threw a backyard party every year and invited the entire neighborhood, so events in general is in my DNA!

Describe your experience. How many weddings have you planned, and what are they like? Any specialties?

Prior to starting Annie Grace Events, I was the wedding department manager of one of the top venues in Colorado (in Estes Park). There, I helped over 400 couples plan & execute their weddings. The venue was purchased by a large wedding corporation, and I wasn't aligned with the direction they were taking the business and vowed to support the smallest business of all: my own! Truth be told, I didn't enter the wedding industry intending to be a planner. The mountains of Estes Park and the people I've had the PRIVILEGE of helping celebrate have kept me here, and I'm grateful for that. Thanks for reading my novel of an answer!

Do you take commission or financial kickback from vendor referrals?

Nope, and I hope I never do. Any vendor referrals are because I've heard positive feedback from previous couples, and I've also enjoyed working with them. The unfortunate truth is that the wedding industry can be cliquey and toxic. My goal is to suggest vendors who will meet you where you're at and support your vision. The last thing I imagine you want is a copy & paste wedding. Who knows, I may even throw you a few curve balls for some "out there" vendor ideas if you're up for it!
