As one of the only Black wedding photographers in Minneapolis / Saint Paul, I am strongly committed to racial and social justice. My clients seek me out not just because they love my work but because of my experience working with folks from all different types of communities and backgrounds.     Celisia was on a very short list of photographers that we had in mind after we got engaged in Spring 2019. For our engagement and wedding pictures, we really wanted someone who would have the photos really reflect the day for what it was. Celisia did just that. When we were meeting with photographers, she came up with packages that fit our needs, she was really comfortable to work with (also helps that she and I went to school together back in the day), and brought a lot of energy to the shoots. Something that I looked at a lot when it came to photographers was the ethnic and racial diversity of their portfolios. I knew that was something important to Celisia, and that's what sealed the deal for me. Not unrelated, but just a great tidbit, during our couples' pictures before the ceremony, I went to pose with my husband and my leg just cramped up, I had to cling to him to keep from falling over. Jessica, the second shooter, offered to go grab water and basically made it to the basement of the church and back outside in less than five minutes. The rest of that portion they both made sure that I hydrated and break if needed. It was a great experience, and we really appreciated the ease and respectfulness they had for our venue when taking pictures. We've gotten lots of compliments about all of our pictures since receiving the full gallery back. Overall, an amazing experience, would highly recommend, and support Black businesses, especially professional services like photography!

    I have worked with Celisia on multiple occasions, and while she has MANY qualities that make her an amazing wedding photographer, here are just a couple that stand out to me: Celisia is super fun to work with! She loves the uniqueness of each couple and how they design their weddings around who they are. It's easy to see that she values each individual couple with whom she works, and creates art for you which will enhance your special qualities. Celisia is also very thoughtful. As someone who has worked with and learned from her on multiple weddings, it is clear to me the knowledge that she has gained and continues to grow. She is highly adaptable and will make sure your wedding and relationship is captured so that you can hold those memories dear for the rest of your lives! If you're looking for someone who is down to have fun, will appreciate and bring out your uniqueness, and will be [at least] one step ahead on your wedding day, she is definitely the right pick!

    I've worked with Celisia a few times and she is wonderful to see in action! She knows what she is doing, gives great direction to couples (so don't worry about needing to know how to pose!), and is there every step of the way before and on the wedding day. She really gets to know her couples, make them comfortable in front of the camera, and is open to most everything. Celisia really cares about being inclusive, which is refreshing. I'm excited to continue working with her and seeing her business grow! 100% recommend.
