Hi! I’m Jess. I approach wedding photography with a photo journalistic eye, seeking out the authentic experiences of your day rather than fabricated moments. I shoot mostly film, medium format and 35mm, as well as a little bit of digital, to create timeless imagery that ages gracefully. I am trained as a fine art photographer, studying at the School of Visual Arts in NYC, and SFAI. I live in Portland, OR but am happy to travel.

I make photos with an artful and honest approach, to remind you 10 weeks or 10 years later what it felt like to be there. I hope to turn those overlooked in-between moments of your day into art worthy of hanging on your wall. I won’t ask you to pose for a million photos or always tell you to look at the camera and smile. I will let you be present and enjoy every minute of your wedding to the fullest, and be there to capture it exactly as it was, all the joy and love and emotion, with a few posed portraits thrown in too.
