I could give you my spill about how I started shooting with a film Minolta in middle school and that it tugged my heart so deeply I never set the camera down. But I would rather share with you what I love. What I enjoy. What I'm about. I have a passionate soul. I get way too excited too easily. I smile at just about anything. I'm terrible with names. I'm a retired certified public accountant. I'm allergic to dogs. I own WAY too many shoes. I want a tattoo of a vintage camera. I love what I do so much it takes my breath away. This is me. The real me. Not the "fake, I hope I sold you" me. Now let's see if we can make this thing work.

I catch myself so many times wishing life away and I have to force myself to stop. Take it all in. To not lose site of the little things that make this life worth living. That's why I love photography. Because those little things that you never want to forget become a permanent memory. You know what happens when you look at a photograph? Your mind is immediately reminded of the moments that happened before and after that snapshot along with the emotions you were feeling. That one photograph preserves that moment forever.

We had our daughter's wedding on Saturday, and I was BLOWN away by the photos that were taken by Amanda May Photos! Amanda was the sweetest person to work with and was so fun to hang out with on a very special day! The level of professionalism of her photos was absolutely AMAZING!! It was more than I expected and we are so happy that we have these beautiful photos to reflect back on for years and years to come! Thank you so much Amanda for documenting our very special day! I am blown away by your kindness in this review. And the amount of time it took for you to write this! Friend... you are amazing. Often times when I don't get to meet a couple for the first time until the wedding day, it takes some time to really fall into sync with them. I'm doing all my learning in those first few hours and figuring out the best way to pull them naturally out of their shell and make them glow in front of the camera. But with you and Giancarlo it took no time at all. The kindness and welcoming demeanor you both carry exudes from you so effortlessly. Thank you for inviting me into your day with open arms and trusting me entirely before I even started taking photos. Thank you to your families as well for being so incredibly kind. I will never forget your wedding day and seeing all of your people on the dance floor. It was perfection. And your outfit change... SO gorgeous!

When it comes to wedding photos, these are the memories to pass onto current and future generations of family. So you want a really good photographer. I can't say enough wonderful things about Amanda. From the very beginning, she got to know us as both as individuals and as a couple. From our engagement session to our wedding day, she made us feel comfortable and confident. She helped us organize everything from the wedding day timeline to the best outdoor lighting opportunities. She really paid attention to our vision, and made sure we got all the photo shots we wanted. During the wedding day, I was so impressed with how organized and punctual she was, and at the same time allowing us to feel like everything flowed organically. And when the sneak peaks came back, I was blown away! She captured our day beautifully. I will be so proud to show our wedding photos to everyone.
