I’ve been a touring drummer for the last decade with Pattern is Movement. I’ve had the pleasure to share the stage with artists like The Roots, St. Vincent, Dirty Projectors, Shabazz Palaces and tour all around the world. I’ve also been booking shows for years at Philly’s own Johnny Brenda’s. My life revolves around music and that is why I love to DJ.

All of my years of listening to and performing music have helped me hone my ability to read a crowd and when I’m spinning a wedding – my focus is to get and keep the party going. So, when you hire me, you’ll get a DJ who is emotionally invested in your day. We’ll work together to figure out the songs you’ve got to hear on that special day as well the ones you do not want played. My job is to get everyone dancing from your Grandma to your best friend and I take that responsibility seriously!

    We loved working with Chris for our wedding. From the very first conversation, he was easy going, friendly, and had a great energy that instantly put us at ease. On the day of the wedding, he really understood our voice and energy, and made fantastic song selections that kept our dance floor packed. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ - and our guests were literally texting us the next morning asking for his information!

    When it came to deciding on the music for our wedding, we knew we wanted a DJ, and we knew we wanted that DJ to love music the way we do. We weren’t looking for games or any huge announcements, we just wanted a really, really good party, and Chris/The Other Wedding DJ delivered that tenfold. From our first interactions with Chris over the phone to our wedding day, he was one of our most thoughtful, comprehensive vendors. He was so generous with recommendations for how to create the event we were dreaming of. And we immediately vibed on our music taste for the whole wedding—from guests arriving to the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and the dance party, his playlist never missed. Honestly, I was having so much fun, I didn’t leave the dance floor for the entire reception (luckily my now-husband socialized for me, haha). It was one of the best parties I’ve ever been to, and we’ve had many guests tell us the same. Everyone was impressed with Chris. If you’re looking for a DJ who knows music, can read a room, and can make your event feel curated and seamless, don’t look anywhere else!

    Chris is a fantastic DJ! Having him help us keep everyone happy and dancing was one of the best decisions we made while wedding planning. He helped us through the whole process of planning our music through the night, and was also extremely helpful in thinking through the flow of the night. When we got to the actual night of, he did a wonderful job of reading the vibe of the room in real time, and kept people dancing literally the whole entire time. We even got several requests for the playlist that he used after the fact! We cannot recommend going with Chris enough — you won’t regret it.
