Nestled in the peaceful, rolling farmlands of Charles City, Open Air The Glebe is only 30 minutes from Richmond or Williamsburg. This 10 acre farm features a historic home, scenic tree-lined drive, multiple barns, and a large tented patio. You can have your rehearsal dinner in the Tractor Pavilion, host your wedding reception under our 60'x90' tent, continue celebrating with an after-party--or whatever you like for a day, or for a long weekend. Our philosophy is that a celebration should reflect the vision, the culture, the traditions of each couple, therefore we allow you to hire the vendors that you choose (the day should not reflect our tastes and that of our "preferred list" of vendors/friends). The Events Team of Open Air The Glebe has over 50 combined years working in the event industry, therefore you also get the benefit of all the experience and resources that we have. Whatever you desire, we can make it happen!

Available for events year-round, Burlington is a wedding venue located in Charles City, Virginia. The main house was first built in 1818 and has been recently restored and expanded. Burlington offers couples the exclusive use of the property for the duration of their occasion. Two outdoor ceremony sites are available, as well as an expansive indoor ceremony space that can double as a reception venue. The indoor wedding space in the Stables features exposed wooden beams and custom chandeliers, while the gardens and lawn offer views of the surrounding countryside for an outdoor ceremony. Both the indoor and outdoor spaces can accommodate up to 300 seated guests. The Bridal Cottage and Groom's Den allow the wedding party a private location to prepare themselves and relax before the ceremony. The Ice House Bar, an additional space converted from an 18th-century colonial ice house, can host cocktail receptions.

Since 1971, Ware River Yacht Club has been a premier sailing and social club in Gloucester, VA. Located on the picturesque Ware River and close to the Mobjack Bay, WRYC offers a variety of sailing opportunities, from day sailing on our fleet of Laser, Opti and Albacore sailboats or cruising on our keel boats. A very popular education program allows youth and adult members to learn to sail or enhance their skills through lecture and on-water experience. Members enjoy an active social program, including racquet sports, holiday events, the annual oyster roast, gameday and musical gatherings. The club is also available for special events, such as weddings and birthdays, for members and non-members alike.
