Not only was he professional and organized, but he also brought an incredible energy to our wedding. For the ceremony and cocktail hour, we provided him with a specific music selection, and even though we never rehearsed together, he nailed it perfectly. During the reception, we gave him a playlist, and he struck the perfect balance between sticking to our choices and reading the crowd to keep everyone dancing. One highlight was when Joey G handed the microphone to people in the crowd, turning our reception into an impromptu karaoke party. It was a blast! He was not only fun and engaging but also very attentive to our needs. He asked how to pronounce each name correctly for the toasts, ensuring everything went smoothly. We requested that he not take song requests, and he respected our wishes completely. The sound quality was stellar, and his equipment setup was flawless. Joey G understood our need for clean music as we had many families with young children attending, yet he still kept the atmosphere lively and fun. The dance floor was packed with all 150 guests! Joey G was also a great help with announcements, coordinating toasts, and working with friends and family to announce the newlyweds and photo groups. His flexibility and attention to detail were impressive. Overall, I highly recommend Joey G to any couple looking for an awesome wedding DJ. His professionalism, flexibility, and commitment to making our day as fun as possible despite our crowd skewing very old and not very dance-prone on average, as well as FAR too many people bailing RIGHT after dinner (What is that, New England?? The party went until 10 pm. Not that much to ask to stay until the end, and your ONE job as a wedding guest is to make the day as wonderful and fun as possible to the people who have graciously included you.). In any case, he did his best with the small crowd who really showed up for us that day (and didn't dine and dash) and helped us forget about the negative aspects of the day by making it a really fun and rowdy dance party with those who did stay. He was extremely easy to work with, is very experienced, organized, personable and makes everyone feel special. Most importantly, Graeme is fun! He realizes the importance of weddings, despite how many he's done - and he took extra care in making ours special, memorable and personalized. There is no doubt he knows what he's doing, and he makes sure everyone is happy and having a great time. Not only does he take care of absolutely everything - he goes FAR above and beyond. We had my now sister-in-law and her husband sing our first dance song (they traveled from out of town) and Graeme was able to arrange a guitar to make it extra special and perfect - convenience for everyone! I also didn't know what my first dance song would be with my dad, because my dad was adamant about surprising me and ended up creating a "mash-up" of special songs from my childhood, and was only able to do this because of Graeme and his willingness to go above and beyond (and the "mash-up" was under 2 minutes, which I am SURE Graeme also helped direct ;) ) - Our wedding day simply would not have been the same without him. If you are looking for a DJ for your wedding, look NO further. From before the ceremony to "shutting the place down" he managed it flawlessly every step of the way and we are so thankful for him. Weeks later we're still getting comments on how great our DJ was - I would recommend him over and over again if I could. Thank you Graeme!!”

Luke’s originally started as a Record Store by the name Luke’s Record Exchange, started by Luke T Renchan. As years progressed, Luke T decided to start a Disc Jockey Company in 1983. This was an instant success. Before long, Luke T had eight employees doing events for him. Many years passed and his son Luke B showed an interest in what his father was doing. At the age of 9, Luke B would accompany his father and observing every move he made. Gradually he was allowed to make steps till he was able to do his own events.

“DJ Karl Detken and the rest of the Luke Renchan Entertainment team were great to work with for our wedding! From the original consultation to the day of, their communication was spot on. Luke met with us originally to go over the various packages and addons. We knew from the beginning we wanted to have a karaoke segment towards the end of the night, and he was happy to make that happen. We also decided on some ambient uplighting and the audio guestbook option, which allowed our guests (including those that couldn’t attend the wedding in person) to record messages to be pressed onto a vinyl album. Luke recommended a couple of his DJ’s with availability and we decided on DJ “Kalifornia” Karl. Karl communicated with our officiants, photographer, and musician friends that were performing to make sure everyone had the audio setups they needed. We also had a cocktail hour in a separate building that he brought a second audio setup for so there was a seamless transition between the two buildings without any time spent moving audio equipment back and forth, which we really appreciated. He was also on top of any special requests for the dance and the karaoke portions of the night. Overall we were extremely satisfied with the service we received and would highly recommend LRE for a wedding or other large event!”

During our reception we fell a little behind on our timing for scheduled events (toasts, first dances, cake cutting, etc.) and Alex calmly informed me of what was going on and the best way to catch up on time. He was so flexible and very knowledgeable on how to make things work! We included his photo booth in our package and it was a total hit! Everyone loved it and some of our favorite photos from the night took place here. He and his assistant are professionals! I hands down recommend DJ Alex Brown to anyone for any event, not just weddings. We had the time of our lives and will hire Alex in a heartbeat for any events in our future. “Everything about Pocket Change was a perfect addition to our wedding. Choosing our band was a major priority for us, as we know from experience they can make or break the reception. Pocket Change was everything we wanted, and more. From our first meeting with them, we felt comfortable and heard. They did a fantastic job of listening to our preferences and adapting that to what they were best at to deliver a great performance. They also did a great job of suggesting additions to our "must plays" that really went with the vibe we were looking for. Also, as a side note, the bride is a teacher, and we loved that Pocket Change is a band of music teachers! In addition to being absolutely perfect as a wedding band, they were also extremely affordable! We worked with some amazing vendors all around, but Pocket Change is the first review we're writing, because we really wanted to thank them for what they did to make our day special. We had a miscommunication with our venue about who was in charge of ceremony audio, and Pocket Change was able to jump in last minute to provide audio for the ceremony. They also let one of the bride's best friends join them on stage to sing Dancing Queen, which was so special for the bride and groom. There was a small issue with the wireless microphone during speeches, and their technician was able to jump in and solve it immediately! They were great at going with the flow and making situations that could have been stressful not at all. In almost every conversation we have had with guests since our wedding, someone has brought up what a great band they were. Hire Pocket Change - you will not be disappointed!!!”
