Originally built as a livery and then used as a cold-storage warehouse, Millwick has reinvented itself as a unique stand alone, super-loft open to private events, outdoor wedding ceremonies and receptions, exhibitions and productions. It now boasts a flowing 7,000 square foot floor plan (4,500 sq ft interior + 2,500 sq ft garden courtyard) melding both interior and exterior areas. Millwick is an excellent event venue and wedding site for up to 175 people for ceremonies and receptions. Located in downtown Los Angeles in the heart of the Arts District, Millwick is convenient to many of the best new and historic hotels, restaurants and nightlife the city has to offer.

Hold your ceremony beneath the protected California Oak trees just before enjoying dinner alongside our babbling brook. After being blacklisted during the McCarthy Era, Will Geer & his wife, fellow actress, Herta Ware, established Theatricum Botanicum in Topanga, California providing a safe haven for other blacklisted artists such as Woody Guthrie and Pete Seeger. Supported by his botany background, the theatre thrived alongside a garden, sustaining the family. Geer's resurgence came with playing Grandpa Zebulon "Zeb" Walton in "The Waltons," leading to the formation of a non-profit theatre. Theatricum evolved into a professional repertory company, offering Shakespeare performances and concerts. Ellen Geer now leads the theatre, known internationally for its Shakespearean interpretations. With year-round classes, concerts, and outreach programs, Theatricum aims to nurture theatre enthusiasts in the Greater Los Angeles Metro area, carrying on Geer's legacy.

One of the most stunning locales in the Santa Monica Mountains, 588-acre King Gillette Ranch, offers a rare unspoiled view of California’s rich resources designed for razor magnate King C. Gillette in the 1920’s by Wallace Neff, architect of California’s Golden Age.
