This historic treasure was the summer home of the renowned Knox Family until it was purchased by NYS to be enjoyed as a state park. The Colonial Revival style home was designed by Architects Frank Bell Meade and James Montgomery Hamilton in a simple classic design which exudes restrained elegance. The two story Mansion is 14,000 square feet and sits on 633 acres. The first floor rooms offer unparalleled grace and charm which are used for events, with ancillary rooms upstairs. This unique venue can be rented May through October; it is closed for the winter months. The Mansion at Knox Farm is the perfect setting to create the wedding of your dreams. At Twin Silos we only do one wedding on a weekend to provide each couple the time and attention they deserve for their special event. The barn and grounds rental generally runs from Friday at 10:00am thru Sunday 1:00pm. This provides ample time for decorating, rehearsal, on-site wedding and the reception. The reception area includes heat and air conditioning, separate women's & men's bathrooms both with multiple stalls and a separate ADA compliant bathroom. Also included are tables and white chairs for the ceremony and reception. We offer a cake display area, amber up lighting into the rafters and all lights can be dimmed. The outside area offers a 10' x 30' front stone patio and an attached 20' x 70' covered deck. Both of these entrances are wheelchair accessible. The deck also has tent sides that can be used to enclose the entire deck for inclement weather. We look forward to meeting with you and working to make your special day go perfectly.
