The Reneau Farms Event Venue is located on 150 acres outside the Greater New Braunfels area on the original 100+-year-old family owned and operated farm. The farm also includes an original 1924 southern Farmhouse, affectionately referred to as Granny’s which was originally built as a wedding present for Granny. Take a step back in time when you enter the Ranch House that has origins from the 1880’s. With space to sleep up to 27 people, the house also provides many spaces to entertain. Included with the house is a covered outdoor kitchen; pool with a swim-up bar, waterfall and hot tub; basketball and volleyball courts; and many other amenities for you to enjoy.

West River House is an homage to a Vermont covered bridge and houses an art collection to create a museum-like experience with breathtaking views over Lake Dunlap. A dining area under the covered bridge has 25-foot high ceilings and provides a Harry Potter feel with interiors of the bridge designed using original barn wood. Pass to the lake side of the house and there is floor-to-ceiling glass, balconies, patios, and vestiges of Mid-century Modern masterpieces. The venue features four luxurious suites on massive balconies, two kitchens to make any chef jealous and a spectacular sound system in virtually every room. A new 4100 sq ft patio cantilevers over the edge of the lake with a 40’x40’ tent included in the deal for celebrations and dining lakeside. Access to a 100’ dock brings your celebration to the water for boating, kayaking and fishing.

Built in 1921, the Martindale Schoolhouse is an official Texas Historical Landmark. The feeling of being inside a 100 year-old school building will transport you back in time to experience what a rural school was like over a century ago. The Martindale Schoolhouse is centrally located between Austin and San Antonio and is perfect for weddings, special events, weekend getaways, and outdoor excursions. First, there’s the expansive five-room villa that was once the original school. Carefully curated with art from around the world, the schoolhouse sleeps 14 and has been fully modernized with a large kitchen, multiple seating areas, a great lawn and a covered veranda with an outdoor fireplace. Next, there's the Martindale Social Hall. Perfect for wedding receptions, dances, corporate outings, you name it... all hosted under the sky and stars within the walls of the original school gymnasium. To top it off, the crystal clear San Marcos River is a short walk away .

Texas Rock House is a labor of love. My grandparents built the house and barns in the 1940's as a working farm for their family. My mother was the youngest of seven children that grew up here. I grew up almost across the street with my mom (Joyce), daddy (Buddy), and brother (Larry). Larry and I spent almost every Friday night here - listening to his records on Grandma's old record player or sitting on the back porch swing counting the number of cars on the trains as they passed by. Whether you are looking for a memorable barn wedding venue for your special day, a unique event space for your corporate meeting, or a beautiful place to celebrate one of life's special moments, the Texas Rock House is the place to be! We have a wedding venue located on our 100-acre property in a 150 year old pecan grove overlooking the San Marcos River.
