As an annex to the brewery, Barrelhouse The Venue would manufacture beer barrels to house fresh beer prior to distribution around Northwest Indiana. Though unoccupied now, the original ice-house, brew-house, and malting building still stand across the street, a reminder of the dream Philip Zorn brought with him to America.

Our wedding at Barrelhouse the Venue was perfect. Everything went exactly as we had hoped. It’s such an interesting historic building and Michigan City is a great place to visit.

Jeremy and Judy are the absolute BEST! You will never find event coordinators that care more about your event. Uptown Social is such a unique venue that has it all - history, architecture, photo opportunities, on site ceremony location, a big dance floor, a gorgeous courtyard and a separate bar for hanging out. As a wedding vendor, it is one of my favorite places for sure!

I highly recommend William's Orchard as your venue if you're considering it. Throughout the wedding planning process the team was communicative and helpful. They were accommodating down to the last day before the wedding, helping our dream come to life. The team had great ideas too when it came to catering and small details that ultimately improved our guest experience. The venue itself is gorgeous and our guests had a blast. We're still getting compliments on the day. A nice touch was being able to have dinner in the orchard, a last minute decision we made that was recommended by the team and ultimately helped the day flow better. I can't recommend William's Orchard enough!

My fiancé and I discovered the hidden gem of 19 North by Froehlich's while initially visiting for a delightful breakfast at Froehlich's restaurant. We were thrilled to learn it doubles as a stunning wedding venue! You will not regret having your event here! Duneland falls really embodies the name ' One Stop Shop'! I had the pleasure of experiencing the service of duneland falls for my event. I had my Quinceañera here and we were able to get all linens, centerpieces, dinner, dessert and more for one price! It is still something that I get compliments on as if it were yesterday!( it was years ago) I had the most stunning decorations and the entire venue was amazing. The food was greats!

Aberdeen- specially Renee and Trey did such a great job working with us for our double wedding. It was something new to them and they did a great job with communication and being upfront about what needed to be done and what they needed from us. The day of our wedding Renee made sure my sister and I were taken cared of and we only we did what we wanted to not what others wanted. Trey did a fantastic job with our decor for our Harry Potter theme wedding. He brought to life our vision in the best way and made it better. If I could do this all over again I would go back to Aberdeen their team gives such great support and helped us with everything along the way. If we had a question they always got back to our emails or calls.

Swan Lake Resort was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding. From the very first interaction, their communication was easy, helpful, responsive, and fantastic. The venue itself is beautiful, well-maintained, and huge - they have their own storeroom of decorations we could use, set up all the decorations for us, and even allowed us to rent additional conference rooms for our rehearsal dinner. They took care of everything from our hotel block to the ceremony and reception, and John and Chae made the entire process so easy that I had nothing to stress about on the day of the wedding. I cannot recommend Swan Lake Resort enough for any couple planning their special day.

Solasta was a surprise to me in that it simply wasn’t on my radar, but I’m glad I stopped by when I saw it just off the road. The mulled wine I tried tasted great and wasn’t cloyingly sweet. The staff seemed very friendly and helpful, and the interior was warm and inviting. The wine menu was surprisingly large, and the mulled wine actually used multiple wines to get the profile they were after. It’s definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area and like wine.

De is awesome to work with; she made herself and the space available for multiple previews, and for my parents coming early to set up. She also worked with the Navarre team to dial-in a few special menu items to make the experience even more unique. I cannot say enough good things!

The Design Barn was the perfect venue! They are very accommodating and will work with you to put your vision together. Alex was so helpful with making our dreams come to life. Jorge makes the BEST food. You don't have to worry about food and drinks. They have a team there to do it all! The venue also includes all your seating, plates/silverware/glasses, linens, cute Photo Booth area, along with tables for your welcome set up. We've been to many venues where you get charged extra for security, plating, linens, extra chairs, etc. They also have plenty of space to have over 200 people! We never felt cramped or crowded. The Design Barn also has beautiful and fun SPACIOUS rooms for the bridal parties. They also have a very cute and fun room for when the bride gets ready. We've been to other venues where there were no bridal suites or they were extremely small. Our bridal party had 9 people on each side so room to get ready was a must. The venue also provides drinks and lunch for when you are getting ready. All the staff are super friendly and helpful. We are so glad we picked the Design Barn. It was PERFECT!!

Original element of the 1928 Armory construction and subsequent Newman Recreations Center were incorporated into the even space renovation to provide the perfect blend of past and present.Iron-barred doors used to secure armers and thick concrete walls reinforced with brick to accommodate the National Guard Armory and shooting range lend a rustic industrial aesthetic. Wood from the recreation center bleachers line the dramatic bar and the orginial hardwood floor was dressed up to grace the ballroom. The vaulted timber ceilings and exposed truss work allow the dazzling period chandeliers an opportunity to lend an air of elegance to the urban decor. The Armory was absolutely the perfect venue for our August wedding. We got so many compliments from our guests about how beautiful the venue was! Megan served as our coordinator and she was amazingly organized, detail-oriented, and quick to respond to any questions we had throughout the process. She was also very flexible, willing to accommodate to our preferences, and work within our budget. Table decor, food, drink packages are all included which made coordinating the reception very easy. The food is through Navarre Catering is delicious - lots of great options to choose from!

Morris built The Chapel as the Centre Meeting House on his 1,000 acre farm in Niles, Michigan. It began as the setting for his daughter's wedding and has since hosted important events for both the Morris family and community. Although there have been renovations to add modern conveniences, the property's quaint atmosphere and rich heritage will continue to be maintained. Everyone says “Something will go wrong on your wedding day.” They don’t know the magic of the Morris Estate. It’s impossible to describe how perfect our wedding day was, not only for me and my husband, but also our wedding party and our families. Everyone involved got to spend the long weekend relaxing, having fun, and celebrating at this beautiful property without any worry of getting assigned random tasks or cleanup duties— the Morris Estate staff was ON IT every step of the way. At the helm was Ryan Bergstrom, our coordinator, who made the incredibly complicated task of planning a wedding feel easy. As an artist, I wanted every element to be unique and intentional, and was quite frankly worried that the Estate wouldn’t be amenable to a more avant-garde event. I approached them with the idea of hanging a large tapestry painting in the chapel and they got right to work with how they could make that happen. There were no requests that went unheard, and it was clear Ryan was a fantastic collaborator and coordinator in all aspects of planning. Plus, anything or anyone that you need, they have a great recommendation on deck— we found this to be true when seeking an officiant for our ceremony as well as a florist. Trudi and Cherry Road Homestead knocked the florals out of the park. The actual wedding ceremony couldn’t have gone more smoothly, with a comprehensive rehearsal in the chapel and the changing rooms in the basement, everyone was able to get ready on time and relax leading up to the ceremony. With about 100 people in it, the chapel felt intimate but gave guests plenty of room to breathe. It was a short, beautiful ceremony that was tailored exactly to our needs as a couple. Yet another fabulous aspect of working with the Morris Estate was the ease of transition throughout events. Cocktails were in guests’ hands before I could even finish bustling my dress. We never felt rushed, yet everything managed to happen on time. Ryan did a great job taking the time beforehand to meet any vendors not directly from the Estate, so everyone knew exactly what they needed to do their part. The reception was unbelievable. I’ve planned other events, designed movie sets and installation art, and was truly blown away by what they accomplished. It was so exciting to see all of the love and hard work that went into making our vision come to life and see the excitement on guests’ faces when they walked into the tent. It was colorful, magical and totally surreal. Now, to talk about the food. With the estate catering both the rehearsal dinner and reception we got to try just about everything on the menu. We were very pleasantly surprised at our tasting before the wedding. The Estate Manager Nate, Chef Tom and their team had tons of options for us that were as beautiful as they were delicious. Arguably, the most difficult part of working with the Morris Estate was having to pick just a few of the options for our customized menu because they were all. so. good. Our guests had so many kind words about how fun and joyous the entire evening was, and instead of worrying who was going to help clean up at the end of the night, the Morris Estate had it fully covered. Everything was organized back into boxes for us to take home the next morning. I’m sure I’m forgetting so many other wonderful things that the staff did for us, but we will forever be grateful for such an incredible long weekend full of love and celebration. TLDR: Everything was perfect.

Picking Watermark Solarium was truly the best decision we made when starting our wedding planning journey. They are easy to work with, effectively communicate and make sure we and our guests had everything we needed. It was also a huge win that we were able to get the airbnb next door, it made it easy to run back and forth if we forgot something while getting ready. The ladies and I utilized the bridal suite which is a must! We also used the outdoor ceremony space, which was breath taking. Our guests talked all night how much the loved the space and how friendly everyone was. We truly had the party of the year and a lifetime of memories because of this place.

We absolutely struck gold choosing North Lake as our wedding venue in Sept 2023! Dan, Danelle, and Marie were all kind, helpful, flexible and so easy to work with. Throughout the planning process, Danelle and Marie were quick to answer our questions and give vendor suggestions. The week of our wedding Dan setup the ceremony and reception with tables and chairs and was available to us for whatever we needed. The venue itself is immaculate - peaceful, clean, and beautiful. Our guests loved visiting North Lake and we felt calm and happy the entire day. We highly recommend this venue for your wedding or event!

Our wedding at Etre farms was absolutely perfect. The Etre team makes wedding plan a dream. I kept thinking to myself, "why am I not stressed yet..shouldn't I be stressed?" month over month ahead of our wedding day - but it's because they think of quite literally everything. Working with their team requires very little from the bridegroom to make your dreams and vision come true. This was especially important to use as we live in a different state and are on the go for work nearly every week. Of course you still need to offer input and share your general vision but they help walk you through details you may be unfamiliar with - we had a handful of meetings over the course of the year and everything we discussed was made a reality. When the wedding finally came, we couldn't have asked for a better day. From the hospitality throughout the getting ready period with our personal concierge and food/drinks provided, to the beautiful space they created with in-house florals (Nicole is amazing!), the best wedding food I've ever had (by far), the beautiful details and signage (shout out Elliana @ Brush Letter Boards) and Etre's amazing in-house DJ - our wedding guests were and still are raving. This review would go on and on if I tried to highlight all the little details this team thought of. We are genuinely sad the planning process is over because we loved meeting and talking with this team regularly - they are all very kind people - so easy to work with and operate like a well-oiled machine. Highly recommend this group and this venue!

The estate, building, furnishings, and amenities at Meyer's Castle are undeniably beautiful and meticulously curated. The people of Meyer's Castle make it so spectacular. We would not have been successful without the incredible staff at Meyer's Castle who made our dream a reality. Their professionalism and capabilities are outstanding! The owners immediately made a positive and lasting impression on us. They made us feel like family! Our coordinator, Brenda, worked tirelessly to ensure that our vision came to life. Her abilities were on full display the day of the wedding. She not only kept us all on the same schedule, which in and of itself is impressive, but she conducted the flow of the day, with all its moving parts, seamlessly and with remarkable poise! Though their hard work behind the scenes may have gone largely unseen, their efforts were tremendously appreciated by all, especially by my husband and me. In short, Meyer's Castle frequently exceeded all of our expectations. They continuously eased the hassle of planning our big day from afar. Any concerns and anxieties we had were immediately addressed and solved by the Meyer's Castle team! We highly recommend them for any wedding or other big event on your horizon!

we used the outside white pavilion as our rehearsal dinner space and welcome drinks and it was perfect! The set up was beautiful, with the harbor outside. The only thing they don't have a speaker or microphone so we had to bring our own & you have to decorate the tables on your own they do not provide any floral or décor. But if you know that upfront they are great to work with & food was good!

My husband and I had the most perfect wedding at The Barn and Vineyard in June 2023! I cannot say enough about how helpful the staff was, especially Amy, Joe, and Kyle, leading up to our wedding day. Amy was available to answer all of our questions and had prompt, detailed replies each time. Joe served as our DJ and he made sure our ceremony ran smoothy and he kept our guests having fun on the dance floor all night! Kyle served as our caterer and we are still receiving compliments on our food. He also created delicious food for our rehearsal dinner, pre-wedding snacks, cocktail hour, and late night pizza. The outdoor space in the vineyard was breathtaking and served as the most beautiful backdrop for our ceremony as well as pictures! The indoor space was perfect for our reception. Our guests truly enjoyed the space and complimented how unique it was having indoor space, outdoor space, and an upstairs area for the younger guests to have fun! We also rented the cigar bar as a unique feature, which was a huge hit! The rental of the photo booth was also a hit with our guests all night long. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day, and most of that is thanks to the venue and their staff! Also, it was wonderful that The Barn and Vineyard is a family owned and run business who takes pride in providing extraordinary care for their clients, plus the option to hire family members as the DJ and chef was so convenient and both are beyond talented at what they do! I would recommend The Barn and Vineyard to any couples looking for a perfect combination of outdoor and indoor space for their wedding! If you want staff who is available to answer your questions, provide you feedback, and wants to make your day perfect, look no further!
