Saint Thomas was the first Catholic church in Wilmington, built in 1847. Although no longer a church, this beautifully-restored venue in the heart of historic downtown Wilmington is listed on the National Historic Register. Our exposed brick walls, gorgeous stained glass windows, high ceilings and upper balcony make Saint Thomas a perfect backdrop for your wedding.

The stunning white brick exterior is complemented by the fragrant jasmine that envelops the unique entrance, setting the stage for a tranquil + inviting atmosphere. As you step through the original famous haint blue double doors, the venue welcomes you with an elegant all white interior. The open-floor plan provides a versatile canvas for you to personalize with your own décor + color schemes. Tall ceilings, flowing curtains, and herringbone flooring effortlessly blends together to create a romantic atmosphere. To top it all off we recently finished our outdoor courtyard The Mimosa Yard! 128 South is located in historic downtown Wilmington, North Carolina on the banks of the Cape Fear River. We offer a unique venue and reception space for your event. 128 South is located in the historic VonKampen Building and features one of the last great examples of a Victorian façade including the original stained glass windows. Some features include exposed heart-of-pine beams, hardwood floors throughout, and enormous bay windows with views of South Front Street.

Our venue is located in rural North Carolina is the newest and largest in the area. We offer space for approximately 450 guests for expos and conferences, about 300 guests for weddings and formal events, and for outdoor events and concerts we can accommodate over 600 guests. We have a variety of locations on the property available for your special events, in addition to the Barn. Our patios, views, and outdoor pavilion, in an idyllic setting – just outside the city limits, are the perfect backdrop for your wedding or special event.
