    Rudbeckia Florals

    5.0

    • Serves Portland, CT

Hey 👋, I’m Rebecca, owner and lead florist at Rudbeckia florals. I create custom designs for every occasion. With a background in sustainability, I source flowers from local CT flower farms and limit the use of traditional floral foam.

    Awarded Best of Zola
We are so glad that we hired Rudbeckia Florals for our wedding! Rebecca was able to quickly capture our initial vision in a creative mood board, which made it easy for us to provide feedback. We were really impressed with how she seamlessly worked with our wedding planner and other vendors to ensure her florals and the flowers in rented items (e.g. arch and pillars) were cohesive in color and style. All of the florals Rebecca created were so beautiful and several of our guests stated that they were the best they have ever seen. I would highly recommend her for any future events!!!

    Poquonnock Plains Urban Farm

    5.0

    • Starts at $500
    • Serves Portland, CT
    • Offer

If you are all about local and sustainable and want your wedding or event to reflect who you are then PQ Urban Farm Flowers is the perfect match. Want a wildflower, natural esthetic for your event, a rustic wedding or a fairytale baby shower look no further. As a flower farmer and florist I am an expert in seasonally grown flowers, show me your look and color pallete and I will choose the perfect in season flowers for you.

Having fresh local flowers in my shop is a great way to start conversations with customers and bring a different vibe to my store than the more mechanical, information seeking, technology vibe that bikes often bring in retail. Flowers break that mentality up, helping to bring a more intimate feeling to the store environment and speak more to what people get from bikes than a list of features/benefits.

    BLOOM. Creative Floral & Events

    5.0

    • Starts at $5,000
    • Serves Portland, CT

BLOOM. Creative Floral & Events is a boutique floral and event design studio located in Northeast, CT, serving counties in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. We create seasonal, garden-inspired floral arrangements, using only the freshest flowers and unique blooms and ingredients responsibly sourced from local flower farmers and gardens from all over the world. Drawing inspiration from your ideas, your unique style, and the venue you have chosen, we work closely with you and the team of professionals you have hired to implement your special day to help you achieve, big and small, the wedding of your dreams.

Tammie made our wedding a dream. We love flowers and knew we wanted them to be a showstopper during our big day, and from our very first meeting we knew that Tammie would create organic coastal garden magic for us. After describing our likes and dislikes and reviewing a moodboard with Tammie, she came back with a visual proposal that completely understood the vision we had, and the actual execution was even better than we could have expected. From my beautiful bouquet, to the ceremony arrangements, and the stunner of a floral chandelier, everything was absolutely perfect. However, nothing could really top the reception tables — it was like my Pinterest board come to life. The organic feeling growing arrangements, bud vases, ikebanas, and tapers that complimented our tablecloths were *chefs kiss*. I’m still not over everything! To top it all off, Tammie is so kind, warm, and lovely — she made dreaming up flowers one of the best and most enjoyable parts of this process. Thank you for everything, Tammie!

“For me, Hana is something bigger than just doing wedding flowers. We are part of one of life’s momentous occasions, and to partake in that is extraordinary. It is my way of sharing something beautiful with the world and I am indeed grateful for it.”

    Awarded Best of Zola
The minute we booked our wedding location in Mystic. We knew we wanted Yumiko & the Hana Floral team to do our flowers. We had seen her stuff on Instagram and knew she would knock it out of the park... and boyyyy did they! We wanted our flowers to stand out and when we showed Yumiko a photo of a really cool flower we saw online she immediately took it and ran. The flower ended up being a King Ice Protea... it was the centerpiece of all of the bouquets, our incredible wedding ceremony arch, as well as the table runner for our head table of 50! Everyone was ranting and raving about our flowers at the wedding and still to this day. They were so unique and set the stage for the most perfect day of our lives. Some of our friends even traveled back to Los Angeles with them the day after! We could not be more grateful to the Hana team for everything that they did for us. Not to mention, we planned our wedding from 3,000 miles away and Yumiko and the team were there for us every step of the way. Our flowers are still living on in our gorgeous photos and we could not have asked for anything more. Thank you Team HANA!

    Something Borrowed Blooms

    4.9

    • Starts at $250
    • Serves Portland, CT

Thousands of brides across the United States and Canada have trusted Something Borrowed Blooms to provide the perfect flowers for their wedding day. We offer brides the expensive peonies, delicate ranunculus, out-of-season anemones, and the ever-impossible-to-find-magnolia — all at a fraction of the cost.

    Awarded Best of Zola
I ordered the silk magnolia bouquet (Shelbie Bridal Bouquet - Hand tied) and opted for the scent to be added. They arrived and already looked perfect with very minimal fluffing/adjustment. I was nervous the scent would be strong or too artificial but it was light and natural. They photographed beautifully and let me have a taste of home with the magnolias all the way across the country. Gorgeous.

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

    4.9

    • Starts at $350
    • Serves Portland, CT

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

    Awarded Best of Zola
Flower Moxie was a great floral vendor. Their wide range of diy tutorials was very helpful, and our florist helped us form a vision for our wedding flowers. We were very happy with how our flowers turned out, and proud we could have a hand in diy-ing this aspect of our wedding.

The granddaughter of two gardeners, I have always felt a connection to the earth through the soil. When someone brings flowers into a room, something changes...an energy, an excitement! I love being able to bring that kind of beauty into peoples lives. I'm a small-town girl who enjoys anything that involves working with my hands from cooking to knitting. I'm a total animal lover (partial to dogs), a die-hard Grey's Anatomy fan, and I take my martinis extra dirty. When I'm not flowering in our studio in Milford, Connecticut, I'm mommin' to three amazing little boys (our dog Pippa and cat, Galaxy).

    Awarded Best of Zola
When I first saw my wedding bouquet I was speechless! It was nothing like any other bouquet I had seen in the absolute best way! The flowers were gorgeous, vibrant, and truly unique, just like I wanted! Kate has such a keen ability to take inspiration photos, run with them, and create something incredibly gorgeous and in line with my vision. The florals she designed brought a lovely pop of color to our reception and pulled the natural look from the landscape into the space exactly like I envisioned. From little details like "snap-bracelet" corsages for the moms to a color-coordinating ribbon on the boutonnieres, Kate totally knocked it out of the park!

    • Starts at $175
    • Serves Portland, CT

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.

    Awarded Best of Zola
I had the absolute best experience with The Faux Bouquets. The flowers were absolutely stunning for my wedding. The owner, Brittany, was so kind and even called me to make sure my wedding wouldn't be affected by Hurricane Helene. Thankfully, my area was not affected, but I just really felt that was a special kindness that needs to be called out. But again, the quality of the bouquets, micro sprays and greenery was so great and photographed so well! And all at a fraction of the cost of real flowers that would have just been thrown away at the end of the night! The delivery and return process couldn't have been simpler! And I loved my husband and I got to customize and keep my bouquet and his boutonniere during a promotional add-on! Thank you again, Brittany and The Faux Bouquets, for helping make our wedding so beautiful!

Ayla is the definition of a perfect vendor. She is exceptionally talented, dedicated, resourceful, and collaborative. She exceeded our expectations and made an already lovely space feel magical. Ayla's passion and artistic skill is obvious. She immediately understood our organic, airy, and romantic vision, and she and her team made it a reality. Every design element - from my bridal bouquet to tablescapes and tent installations to our ceremony chuppah (undoubtedly, the most stunning chuppah I've ever seen) - was perfect. Omg where do I even begin??! Nicole is a master of her craft. I reached out in December 2022 for my May 5, 2024 wedding and I knew after our first phone call that she was the one I wanted designing my flowers and centerpieces. We instantly clicked and she knew exactly what I was envisioning and how to get us there. All throughout the process she kept me involved and was constantly making sure it’s what I wanted. Even though I knew what colors she was going with I was still left absolutely speechless when my bouquets were delivered to my hotel room the morning of. And when I walked into the venue and saw the centerpieces I was in awe. Like she blew it out of the water. Nicole is one of the most kind hearted, beautiful people I’ve met throughout my whole wedding planning process and even in my life and I’m beyond grateful for her. It was so wonderful working with Rachel for florals for our wedding in July of 2024. My now-husband and I are originally from New England, but live in California now, so a lot of the planning was done over email. Rachel was super responsive to everything. I told her that I wanted “sunflowers, but not in a boho way”, and she was fully game to take on the challenge- and she for sure delivered! She designed exactly what I had in my head and made it even more beautiful than I could have imagined, and checked in with me every step of the way. I also appreciate that she has rentals for the “hardware” part of florals- because who just has a wedding arch and dozens of vases laying around? The flowers arrived on the day-of looking fresh and bright, and she even took a few of the extra flowers she had left over to scatter around on our guest book table. The clean up was quick and easy, and again she took care of all of the rental materials. We are so lucky that we found her!
