Forestville Winery and Event Center encompasses 17 acres of beauty and serenity. 2025 marks our seventh season hosting events and memories to guests from all over the world. Our Event building has undergone major renovation. The climate controlled space features spacious room for 150 guests in a “country elegant” décor. The building features a Bride’s suite with full bathroom and private patio. Also inside is a wine and beer service area, a catering kitchen, a food serving area, a stage for Musicians and spacious restrooms, Most Ceremonies are held outside near the Vineyard, weather permitting. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, the Ceremonies can be held under our Event tent. The Forestville property is also home to a completely renovated one room School constructed in 1897 and used as a school until 1964. The School building houses our wine and beer tasting room and also the Groom’s Suite for weddings.

Oak Glen has two outdoor and one indoor ceremony locations as well as one beautiful reception space. The Willows ceremony site is located just off the first hole and features willow trees framing our beautiful fountain in the pond. The valley’s most enviable view, our vineyard provides the perfect backdrop to one of the most important days of your life – your wedding. The Winery is on the Register of Historic Places and has been in Cannon Falls since the 1920s. Cannon River Winery’s Event Center is located above the Tasting Room, on the second floor of the Winery. This upstairs space was the town dance hall and boasts original hard wood floors, exposed wood ceilings, and simple drop lights, that create a country chic style. As an extra touch, our custom built-in Mahogany bar edged with historic volkstead mirror glass.

A "one-stop-shop" stress-free experience with excellent service is what we offer. Our beautiful Ballroom holds up to 300 guests. We include a two-room suite for the Bride & Groom the night of the Reception, we have a Banquet Manager that runs the event from beginning to end, we set up and tear down all the decorations, all the linens, tables and chairs are included (we will add our chair covers for $2 each) and we include uplighting in the room. We also do a group block for your guests at a discounted rate. We set up a Host and/or Cash Bar at no extra cost. The Ceremony can be held here as well for a small fee. We will need 2 hours between the Ceremony and the Reception to flip the room. Our Pre-Function Area and Patio are ideal for a Cocktail Reception during that time or guests can come back when the Reception opens. Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse caters for our events. Our Chef is very flexible and we offer options for guests with dietary restrictions.

For centuries, the beauty and natural treasures of the St. Croix Valley have drawn people to the area which is now Stillwater. The first to call this area home were the Sioux and Chippewa Nations. Later, the first traders and trappers in Minnesota Territory settled here. By the mid 1880’s, railroading and river activity helped build the community into a bustling town of 13,000 people. Stillwater became the trade center for miners and trappers to the North, and farmers and lumbermen to the West. The Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul Railroad eventually saw a need for a freight depot. In 1979, the historical significance of the building was recognized and the Freight House became the first building in Stillwater to be placed on the National Registry of Historic Places.
