Our 50 acre historical venue includes an 1827 antebellum style home and 5,100 sq ft barn build specifically as a wedding venue space. 200 year old trees and our vineyards are an incredible backdrop for photos. 2 ponds adjacent to the barn reflect the perfect sunsets.

Just a short TWENTY minute drive south of Lynchburg, Avoca, the principal architectural landmark of the Town of Altavista, is an American Queen Anne-style house, designed by architect J.M.B. Lewis and built in 1901. Designated a Virginia Historic Landmark and listed in the National Register of Historic Places, Avoca is the home site of Colonel Charles Lynch, Revolutionary War hero. On the of grounds of the Museum, enjoy your private event with the ambiance of the Avoca mansion and the original Revolutionary War era kitchen, as well as 18th century outbuildings. Avoca’s grounds also feature a restored Victorian Garden and the Donal and Nancy Dinwiddie Arboretum opened in 2007!

Lovingston Winery is a weekend wedding venue that prioritizes slowing down and enjoying time with those that you love. With all of our packages we include 2 nights at our historic 1906 farmhouse and charming log cabin. These spaces allow for up to 16 guests to stay on property with you throughout the weekend. In addition, there are sweeping views of mountains, vineyards, pastures, and pond that can be viewed from our ceremony sites. When it's time for dinner, you can take a beautiful stroll to our newly constructed Tupelo House. This reception space allows for you to take in the setting sun while enjoying the high end touches like chandeliers, open frame timber, and a massive 8' wide fireplace. Poplar Hill is a 100 acre farm that was built in 1790. The home is surrounded by mature landscape with English boxwoods and crepe myrtles that are 100 plus years old. Every couple and family that comes to Poplar Hill tell us that our pictures do not do it justice!
