“We are so glad we chose Maurice (The Covenant Child DJ) for our wedding. Maurice responded very quickly to our initial inquiry on wedding wire and after our first call we knew it was a good fit. Maurice was very helpful in planning our music and the timing for our wedding. He sent us a link to an application that he uses (called Vibo) that allowed us to input our song choices for different parts of the wedding (processional, recessional, cocktail hour, first dance, dinner music, dance music, etc.). This was incredibly helpful because the app lets you search songs from Youtube, Spotify, and Apple Music and upload it there. We are a couple from mixed backgrounds so having this was super helpful to include music that both of our families could enjoy and have a solid set of songs. We chose about 30 songs and let Maurice fill in the rest, and he did an absolutely amazing job filling out the playlist and choosing songs that got the guests dancing. He even did some research on Malagasy songs and included them at different parts of the wedding. He even did a custom mix for us for our first dance! Maurice also helped out by suggesting timing for the different elements of the ceremony and reception. Maurice was very generous with his time during planning and really went above and beyond to help us plan the day. On wedding day, Maurice was great. He was an active, lively DJ and was very helpful with announcements, keeping us on schedule, and getting the guests involved in the wedding. He led us through some different games, and played a perfect set of music. Maurice did a great job reading the crowd and playing the hits that got different groups dancing. Toward the end of the night he played hit after hit and had us and our friends dancing... we didn't want to leave the dance floor!! Thank you so much Maurice for everything, you were a huge part of making our wedding special and we will forever appreciate it!”

If you’ve had a good time at a wedding or event in the DC/Maryland/VA area, chances are it was DJ Casanova that got you moving. You know him as DJ Casanova, but around the office, we just call him Jamie. Back in the day, he was just a child of immigrants recording his favorite songs over his parent’s cassette tapes (sorry Mom and Dad) so he could listen to them on his prized Walkman. Jamie entered the DJ field in 2009, and before long he was spinning something at a different party every week. Pretty soon he realized that sharing his love of music with like-minded folks was more than just a hobby, it was a gift.

“Our Guests LOVED the music and Jamie was so easy to work with! If you want a DJ who is easy to work with, great at his craft, and cares about you and your needs, Jaime (DJ Casanova) is your man! My wife and I come from very different musical backgrounds, so making sure all of our family and friends had a good time and felt well-represented during the party was really important to us. From day one, Jaime made it feel like we were working with an old friend who just wanted the best for our wedding and he absolutely delivered! Everyone had so much fun and guest after guest commented on how much they enjoyed the music during the party. It’s also worth mentioning that Jaime hung with us after we had to reschedule our reception twice over two years (thanks, COVID) and worked with the rest of our vendors to make the long-awaited day as memorable as we could have ever hoped.
