I am a thirty-nine year old mother of two. I have been in food service for over twenty years, and have been catering for fifteen. I specialize in southern style food and absolutely love trying new foods any time. I was taught to cook by my late Grandmother starting as soon as I could sit on a counter top.

We began serving Charlottesville with French and Virginia-inspired cooking at our restaurant, l’etoile, in 1993. Our catering business grew out of that experience, and out of our desire to take part in the celebrations, the rituals, and the ceremonies of people throughout the Central Virginia community. Catering allows us to reach, care for, and serve a larger audience, and to customize consistently excellent culinary experiences for our clients. We have a history of procuring the finest, freshest ingredients for the meals we create and serve, and access to those ingredients through relationships we’ve cultivated for more than 20 years.

With 25+ years of catering experience, they bring the expertise required to execute events from the casual to the elegant. Ashley's training comes from working under a few of the finest chefs in Charlottesville, at some the best restaurants in area, such as The Clifton Inn and The Ivy Inn. She furthered her skills at the Cookery at the Grange in Somerset, England.

Born and raised in Alexandria, Egypt, I grew up influenced by a long line of home cooks, including my mother and grandmother. I have especially fond memories of cooking alongside a family in my childhood.

I want to leave this earth knowing that I used every gift that God placed in me. I embarked on some gifts afraid, and others looking crazy, but I did it. I can create food without second-guessing what I am creating, because of my foundation in God.
