Hi, I'm Matt! I'm a wedding and portrait photographer based in Reno-Tahoe, Nevada. It's an honor to capture weddings and portraits — these photos often become cherished heirlooms. My photographic style sits somewhere between "documentary" and "editorial" — capturing the subject authentically and unobtrusively (but on a deeper, more thoughtful level than pure photojournalism), while also directing the subject to tell a compelling visual story.

I found my passion early in life and was crazy enough to pursue the idea of sharing it with the world. I don’t believe in such a thing as “too much” when it comes to expressions of love – especially when it’s a wedding! I earned my bachelors and masters degrees in photojournalism from the University of Missouri, *cough cough* known as the best journalism school in the nation. Throughout my schooling, I trained closely with award-winning photojournalists Rita Reed and David Rees, and I’ve worked with organizations like the Washington Post and USA Today. In my limited spare time, you can find me hiking in the mountains or eating Del Taco.
