Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

4.8

  • Starts at $350
  • Serves Monroe, WA

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

Awarded Best of Zola
I ordered the "peaches and cream" small package. We decided to skip on ceremony florals, and only have handhelds and bud vases at the reception. We did buy a few more flowers from the grocery to add more peach once the flowers arrived. We made and medium sized bridal bouquet, 4 bridesmaids bouquets, 3 corsages, and 7 bouts. (With lots of flowers left over). My bridesmaids and I did the arranging the morning before the wedding; it was fun, and a great start to the weekend. None of us had experience, but it all turned out great! If you or your bridal party are mildly crafty, I'd highly recommend it!

The Faux Bouquets

5.0

  • Starts at $175
  • Serves Monroe, WA

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.

Awarded Best of Zola
I had the absolute best experience with The Faux Bouquets. The flowers were absolutely stunning for my wedding. The owner, Brittany, was so kind and even called me to make sure my wedding wouldn't be affected by Hurricane Helene. Thankfully, my area was not affected, but I just really felt that was a special kindness that needs to be called out. But again, the quality of the bouquets, micro sprays and greenery was so great and photographed so well! And all at a fraction of the cost of real flowers that would have just been thrown away at the end of the night! The delivery and return process couldn't have been simpler! And I loved my husband and I got to customize and keep my bouquet and his boutonniere during a promotional add-on! Thank you again, Brittany and The Faux Bouquets, for helping make our wedding so beautiful!

Petal Thyme

5.0

  • Starts at $3,000
  • Serves Monroe, WA

Petal Thyme is composed of two best friends making your floral dreams come true. We are here to help you think outside the box and make your wedding day FUN! If you can dream it, we can execute it. To us, flowers, like love, can express so many emotions all without saying a single word. Flowers are the silent stunner, the timeless decoration, and the staple accessory that will never ever go unnoticed or unappreciated.

Awarded Best of Zola
I have to admit, I was hesitant to go with Petal Thyme because they don’t have a big online/social media presence but I’m so glad I trusted the positive Zola reviews and pulled the trigger. We gave Emma and Haley pretty much free rein over the florals for our wedding. I had some inspo photos and answered their questions, but pretty much the only concrete instructions I gave were that the color palate should be “rainbow but not like ROYGBIV” and that the flowers should be as local as possible, preferably from within 500 miles of Arizona. Even though I didn’t have a clear vision, the flowers were very important to me and I wanted a lot. We wanted sustainable flowers and they made sure to not use any floral foam and that the flowers went to good homes after the ceremony, in addition to sourcing the flowers locally like we asked. My only piece of feedback is that they could be a little more prompt to respond to emails, but it was no big deal. I never had to follow up or anything, just be patient! They absolutely made my floral dreams come to life, and within my budget too! I am so grateful for Petal Thyme and all the work they did to make our wedding so special.

Campanula Design Studio

5.0

  • Starts at $250
  • Serves Monroe, WA

Hi! I am Melissa, the Founder and Creative Director of Campanula Design Studio. Over the years, working with clients and helping them to express their emotions through flowers taught me to truly appreciate the importance of showing our love and gratitude for one another through the simplest of gestures. A single perfect bloom, small gift, or short note can transform a mood. Combining a love for event planning and hosting celebrations, an eye for design, and a desire to bring people together in meaningful ways, I founded Campanula in 2019.

We wanted flowers that were simple and natural, and the final result was absolutely perfect for a garden wedding, with some lovely little extra touches like fresh mint and blackberries in the bride's bouquet. Twisted Bramble

5.0

  • Serves Monroe, WA

Locally grown & seasonal blooms for environmentally conscious floral designs. Having trained in England, my style takes on a luxury, garden style, utilizing lush greenery and the season's best blooms. I love celebrating what nature is offering in the current season and using its natural shape, texture, and color to influence my designs.

Awarded Best of Zola
If you’re looking for a wedding florist, stop your search now, because you’re not going to find anyone better than Meghan and Twisted Bramble! I could, and have, gone on forever about how beautiful the flowers at our wedding were and am including some photos with this review so you can see for yourself – they’re perfect – but I want to talk more about the experience of working with Meghan because that’s what you’re getting when you decide to work with Twisted Bramble. Megan went so far above and beyond what we could have expected for a wedding florist. From our first meeting, where she learned that neither my partner or I know anything about flowers but still have strong aesthetic preferences, she was able to listen to what we wanted and execute our vision even better than we could have possibly imagined. She even worked at the last minute to modify our whole plan to add flowers to some custom-built columns (thanks dad!) to use as our ceremony backdrop and throughout our event. And with all of that, she even managed to stay within our budget!! I also so, so appreciate Meghan’s genuine commitment to sustainability and community. Having seasonal flowers that we knew were grown locally made our wedding feel even more special and close to home. Plus, Meghan donates a portion of every sale to a local organization or charity and was willing to work with us to ensure that our donation went to support Mary’s Place (a Seattle-based group that provides assistance and resources for homeless kids and families)! But that’s not even all!! On the day of our wedding, Meghan was at our venue ALL DAY to help with décor setup and flower maintenance. She acted as our “bouquet attendant” for part of the day to ensure that the flowers looked perfect in photos (they did), helped transition décor from different parts of the venue, and even filled in to help setup non-floral décor prior to the event. I wish I could give her 6 stars. Or 10. Meghan is a great florist and a great person. Hire her.

Calyx Flower Design

5.0

  • Starts at $6,000
  • Serves Monroe, WA

A lifelong crush on flowers. That's what led me to start my floral studio focused on weddings and personal events. My style has always been untethered—somewhat organic in design and feel. I hand-pick only the freshest blooms and love to explore all the different styles, textures and palettes imaginable.

Our wedding was at a very unique private home, and needed someone with a lot of vision to help bring it to life. I knew the right florist for us would be someone who was excited by a wide-open creative brief (no wedding colors, no specific flowers, just make it seasonal and organic and gorgeous) and wanted to think creatively about what we might install, beyond the typical wedding requirements. From the first moment I met Maureen I could see she was the perfect partner-in-crime for us--she lit up at the challenge, bringing in plants and arched installations for our ceremony space, creating loose, lush centerpieces that embodied the secret-garden feel we were trying to create, and making me a truly unique bouquet that was seasonal, bright, and beautiful. The personal attention and care she gave us was above and beyond, fielding many mother-in-law calls, keeping plants and floral pieces at her home until the last minute to water them and keep them beautiful during an unexpected heatwave, helping us edit back the existing garden, even clipping a peony from her own garden to add to my bouquet the day of my wedding. She was as excited about our event as we were, and I'm so grateful we found her!

A LA CHLOE

5.0

  • Serves Monroe, WA

After working eight years in New York City within the fashion industry, I decided to develop one of my childhood passions, art. Since I was a child, I viewed the world through an artist’s eye with an especially adoring love for floral design. Colors and textures - even the way they move. All of this comes together to tell my clients' unique story through floral design. To me, nothing is more fulfilling than starting with a blank canvas, bringing together just the right pieces, and letting the visual narrative flow on its own.

Awarded Best of Zola
HIGHLY recommend working with A la Chloe for your wedding, her work is SPECTACULAR. Chloe is so kind, I really felt like she cared about me and my vision. We had lots of communication up front and Chloe was always so quick to respond. We met at the venue to look at the space together and then had a design meeting to go over the whole day. Chloe had such great images and inspiration to share that really helped me picture what the wedding would look like. She gave me different options for each floral arrangement (ie. 2 options to pick for my bouquet, 2 options to pick for the centerpieces) and that really made me feel like we were working as a team. On the day of, Chloe went ABOVE AND BEYOND. I had the most beautiful ceremony flowers I could have ever dreamed of. Chloe and her team even worked outside through some rain on the morning of the ceremony to give me my dream archway. We had so many comments from our guests about how amazing the florals were. Overall, Chloe is amazing. You feel like you're working with a friend that has your best interests in mind. 10/10!
