Jerry and the team at Parkway Banquets were very helpful in planning our special day. Communication was mainly through email and phone which worked well to coordinate details. The venue itself was beautiful and spacious, especially for the price. On the day-of, Jerry and staff were attentive to make sure things flowed smoothly. There seems to be some miscommunication around salad selections but overall the food was great, and it was a beautiful, memorable wedding that we really enjoyed.

We highly recommend The Seville Chicagoland as a wedding venue. Desire was amazing to work with - she communicated promptly and professionally every step of the way. The space itself is elegant without the high price tag, giving great value. On our big day, The Seville really came through for us. When some out-of-town guests couldn't make the rehearsal, Desire allowed us to cancel without penalty. She also helped with DJ equipment rental when our original rental fell through. We couldn't have asked for a better venue or coordinator for our special day. The Seville handled all the little details and last minute changes beautifully. We're so grateful for the role they played in making our wedding day stress-free and magical.

The Grand Oaks Pavillion was one of the most beautiful reception spaces I have seen. The staff’s attention and care from the first consult to the final day was exceptional. Jason made sure everything was on time and perfect. The food was fantastic. Everyone had a great time. I am incredibly grateful to Jason, Tiana, Herminio, and the rest of the staff (front desk, servers, valet) for making my daughter’s special day so memorable.

We planned to do our ceremony outside but of course 30 minutes before it started raining. The staff was able to transform the main room into our ceremony spot in NO TIME and we didn’t have to worry about a thing! The photos were even better of us getting married in front of the big fireplace! Our guests are still talking about the amazing food, how wonderful the service was, and all the extra safety precautions they made to ensure that everyone felt comfortable. My favorite part of having our wedding at Cog Hill was that I never felt like just another Saturday wedding and nothing felt “cookie-cutter” about our experience when planning. They were able to personalize every aspect, took the time to meet with us and go over everything, and made our wedding exactly how we wanted it. I would like to highly recommend the Abbington Distinctive Banquets. We held both our ceremony and reception at this venue and was very pleased! We selected this venue based on its elegance (I absolutely loved the north ball room which features oversized windows allowing beautiful natural lighting, oversized chandeliers, and neutral color tones blending that blended well with our color palette. We also loved the fact that they have an option to host the ceremony in a separate room from the reception which was an absolute must for me, I am very particular and a little hard to deal with at times due to my over attention to detail and wanting every single detail preplanned and perfectly executed. Tara my venue coordinator was very accommodating to my "type A" personality :) She was very patient with me no matter how many times I contacted her, or regardless of how many times I stopped by the venue to run through things or do mock set ups, and was always just a email/ phone call away throughout the entire planning process. Leading up to the wedding one thing that I had not thought about prior to booking this venue is that we wanted a traditional soul food cuisine and the venue does not offer outside catering. Tara went above and beyond to meet my needs by helping us put together a custom menu using items from their various banquet menus. She also allowed us to request extra seasonings and provide details on how to turn their traditional menu Mac and cheese to "southern style baked Mac and cheese to give the food the southern flare we desired. The chef did an amazing job of executing it and the food was delicious and an absolute hit! My family (including the great aunties and grandparents) whom are tuff food critics were very pleased! We had absolutely NO complaints with anything related to the venue on our big day and would like to thank the staff at the Abbington Distinctive Banquets for being top tier! Everything was perfect!!!

We had our Wedding on Friday 11/4 at Georgios and it was nothing short of amazing! The room is beautiful as is so we just added pops of color at the head table, gift, cake and memory table and napkins! We added uplights and a monogram and it just looked perfect! We had the Mediterranean chicken and it was so delicious! I'm still getting calls saying how good the food was! Kim, our head manager made sure everything went if without a hitch! Our bartender Jeff was super fast! Valerie and Stephanie in the office were nothing but amazing during this planning process! So many good spots for photos with our photographer and the hotel being attached made for an overall perfect choice! Thank you Georgios for a night I will never forget!

Hangout Lighting was a fantastic choice for our wedding reception venue. Jen's communication throughout the planning process was extremely prompt and helpful. I was looking for a space that was already partially decorated and set up, one that had some indoor and outdoor space, as well as one that allowed us to bring in any vendors of our choosing. Hangout Lighting delivered on all these points. We loved the lighting (of course!) and that the beautiful farmhouse tables and chairs were already perfectly in place. Jen offered a lot of flexibility in the timing of the day as well, so we could choose the number of hours that fit our event. I wish we could have celebrated past the 10pm last call and, looking back, might have started our event earlier in the evening to have more time. But all of the rules and guidance were extremely well communicated ahead of time, so we knew what we were getting into. The free street parking was plentiful, and the location worked great for us. Very glad we were able to celebrate our wedding at Hangout Lighting during the first year that they were hosting events in the space, as I think we got a great deal as well, having compared prices with some similar places in the area. We are conveniently located just west of Chicago, 10 minutes from O'Hare airport and Rosemont. White Pines offers packages for weddings, graduations, showers, business meetings, golf outings, or any special event. The White Pines banquet facility provides a beautiful, picturesque natural surrounding and is an ideal setting for any type of special occasion. Our banquet room comprises of floor-to-ceiling windows and a wrap-around balcony overlooking the golf course with panoramic views of the grounds also, the outdoor pavilion tent accommodates up to 350 guests. 260 acres of beautifully maintained grounds and clubhouse and can accommodate up to 330 guests for golf outings, meeting or banquets (240 guests for wedding receptions). Experience the breathtaking view of our lake, waterfall and fountain. The restaurant at White Pines is a perfect setting for a business meeting or a relaxed dining occasion with friends or co-workers. Call for a tour!

Overall things were good. There were however a few disappointments that we encountered. First, there wasn't any power at the outdoor wedding venue; they had to run extension cords. Second was that people were allowed into the venue but the bar was not open and appetizers were not ready. Third, the room was very warm from the afternoon sun because the thermostat was in the hallway with a fireplace and the doors were closed. That was corrected by opening the doors but only after a long period of time. Fourth, there not enough appetizers. We as the wedding couple only got 1 of each selection (6 total) between the 2 of us and that was because they brought them to us in the bridal suite. We were told that people were taking them off the server's trays as the servers came out of the kitchen, but it seemed there wasn't enough food or staff because we were told by some guests that they didn't have any appetizers at all. Also, we were told that a guest asked a server for a glass of water, the server told the guest, "It's on the bar". Lastly, we ordered a Caesar Salad but we received an "Essence Salad". The menu's on the guests' plates stated "Essence Salad" but White Pines insisted it was a Caesar Salad...I've never had Caesar Salad with red onion. Aside from what I previously mentioned, the entrees were delicious and we did have a lot of fun. Bernadette was easy to work with and offered a lot of useful suggestions.
