The Farmhouse KC Events is a brand new wedding venue in Independence, MO, purposely built for private parties and special occasions. Ideal for weddings during all seasons, the modern farmhouse venue is an inviting and country chic space. The Farmhouse KC Events offers couples a featured wedding day package to complement their big day. Beginning with a 13-hour rental period and an on-site event manager, the venue aims to provide a hassle-free planning process. ​Our names are Craig and Nancy Rogge, and we have lived on and owned this property for over 34 years. We have raised two children here and have used our barns and property all these years to raise horses, cows, chickens, ducks, rabbits, cats, and dogs. We have 30+ years of wonderful memories and stories on our little piece of paradise! ​Our barns were built in 1944 by a previous owner, Walter Kurzweil, who our street is named after and who used the property and barns for a dairy farm. Walter Kurzweil had deep ties to the Raymore community as well as had family connections to the Maxine Dean family (Walter was her Uncle), another prominent Raymore name. ​ If you go back even further, our property was granted to a young man in 1857 as part of the “ScripWarrant Act of 1847.” At that time, public land was gifted through this Act to military personnel for their service in the Mexican-American War.

Our renovated 100-year-old tobacco barn is the ideal backdrop for your best day ever. We believe your wedding or event should as relaxing and stress-free as possible, and we make every effort to provide a space as special and memorable as your big day. The Pearl, a mid-1800’s style barn, is modeled after a barn on the family farm. Constructed with rough-sawn oak timbers and wooden pegs, it boasts a 30-foot vaulted ceiling and wrap-around loft lighted with iron chandeliers. The timber staircase offers a grand entry for the bride’s debut into the main hall while providing a beautiful backdrop for photos. The Pearl is located on a ridge approximately one mile south of Hamilton on Highway 13, overlooking Tom Creek valley. It is a beautiful sight to behold at sundown any time of the year. Deer, turkey, and other wildlife are frequently seen.
