The Home Place at Valley View is an approximately 1100-acre family-run farm located just 30 miles east of Kansas City. We have created a venue that not only meets the needs of the bride and groom but their guests and vendors. The Home Place is surrounded by breathtaking landscapes overlooking the Missouri River bottoms where you can see for miles. We offer an outdoor ceremony area, heated and air-conditioned barn, seating up to 240, Pinterest worthy bridal suite, stunning grooms room, overnight accommodations for bride and groom and so much more! A rustic wedding venue in Orrick, Missouri, The Home Place at Valley View is a picturesque combination of simple, country style and elegant design. With such a timeless beauty, this venue is easily transformed to fit your unique style and complement your dream wedding. While upholding its original integrity, this barn has since seen many updates by the owners, with many more still to come! The Home Place at Valley View offers couples an exclusive and private setting with three event spaces, including the spectacularly renovated and redesigned barn, a separate ceremony area and an outdoor (uncovered) pavilion with a pool, fireplace and 360-degree scenic views. This venue can accommodate anywhere from 2 - 250 guests.

Our ceremonies take place in a breathtaking outdoor space which includes Breathtaking views of the Missouri River bottoms, a 20ft x 10 ft covered altar with chandelier and 2 fans, timber benches with 10ft wide aisle. We provide 2 whiskey barrels for the altar for lanterns or floral arrangements to sit on. There a place on the back wall of altar to hang a a wreath or monogram..

Wedding Rehearsal Area
The pavilion and pool is a place our guest love to hangout! !
The Home Place at Valley View Wedding Rehearsal space is beautiful and relaxing. It truly is like no other as it includes a fireplace, tv, grill, sink, and under-counter refrigerators with a 60 foot saltwater pool with slide and diving board. We provide a lifeguard for a maximum of 2 hours after your rehearsal dinner. Guest must bring their own towels. It is a beautiful area to host your guest for the rehearsal dinner.

Its a great area to host your rehearsal dinner. You can grill or have your dinner catered and put a fire in the fireplace. Yes!... that’s a tv above the fireplace. It’s the perfect kickoff to your wedding weekend
Wedding Reception Area
It might even be cold but the barn will always be warm and inviting.
Our 7000 sq ft barn is swoon worthy and the perfect setting for your big day and to host your Wedding Reception. The barn has all the modern amenities. It host a prep kitchen, ADA restrooms, bridal suite, reception area, beautiful chandeliers and side lights. Accommodates up to 240 guest. The entire barn is air conditioned and heated. We provide 23 - 72 inch round tables for our guest, padded folding chairs, 4 custom harvest tables for your bridal party and 8 foot folding tables. We also provide black linens for your buffet, bar area and rehearsal dinner.

Our Pinterest worthy Bridal Suite!
Prep for your big day in our pinterest-worthy bridal suite which includes a private restroom, 3 hydraulic salon chairs, sitting area and keypad access security code on door. The Home Place strives to accommodate our couples, their families and vendors. When brides enter this room they are so excited by its charm and all the details! We want it to be comfortable and accommodating not only for the bride and bridesmaids but the stylist. If you are recently engaged we hope that you will consider touring The Home Place. Groom's Room
Our grooms room is the perfect place to read a letter from your future wife. It’s also a great space to hang out with your buddies till wedding time.
The area for the boys to hangout is in a separate building across from the wedding barn. The grooms includes a pool table, fridge, sofa, love seat and a flat screen tv.

June Wedding at The Home Place
Christie is amazing. She was with us every step of the way for everything. She has a beautiful array of decorations that you are welcome to borrow for your day, and she is more than willing to help with every aspect of your day from helping you figure out a timeline, where to put signage, recommending vendors, etc. She let me come out to the venue a couple extra times to look around, take pictures, and get a feel for the ceremony and reception spaces. Very quick with communication and worked with our work schedules for visits. The space itself was absolutely perfect. Nice size groom and bride suite, great parking for guests (they have staff that drive Gators and pick people up from the parking lot and bring them to the ceremony site.) Handicap parking and accommodations are available. The reception space is large and roomy. We had 20 tables set up and still had a large dance floor and it didn't seem cramped at all. Lastly, it was a life saver to be able to have access to the venue starting Friday at noon until Sunday at noon. We were able to decorate everything Friday and hold out rehearsal dinner there that night, start hair and makeup early on Saturday and not have to worry about clean up until the next morning. 100/10 would recommend this venue to anyone.
