From an early age, I've found my way into the garden: planting, deadheading spent blooms, creating arrangements out of any flower or green. Now I'm taking it one step further to transcend your wedding or event dreams into reality.

Plant Box Co is a small women owned business located in Manchester, PA. The cornerstone of our business is hospitality. We own a houseplant cafe, and we're full service florists. We're plant specialists, with a deep love of greenery and adding live plants to events.

My earliest memories are always centered around picking flowers in my mothers gardens. I would grab one of the glass bottles she collected and play around with any flowers I could find. Flower design is my passion. My shop is located in our 150 year old barn that in itself is full of character. I try to be a vendor who is easy and fun to work with. I am human and understand money does not grow on trees so I try my hardest to work within the client's budget. Each bouquet I create tells a story, each unique beautiful.

I grew up running around after my mom in her gardens and spent most of high school in the art department. I went off to design school and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design. Soon after, I started my first “real” design job and have been working in the industry in either commercial or residential design ever since, giving me thirty-five years of design experience. A second related career in Floral Design was added to my skill set when I was employed as a part-time floral designer and trained at Longwood Gardens. I decorated twenty-one Christmas trees that year and did a lot of beautiful custom designs.

She and her husband are the founders of Terra Florals, the region's premier cut flower farm. Tara has been a long time flower lover and plant geek. Growing up she was a rambunctious toddler and decided to get a head start in the horticulture industry by eating her mothers house plants. This mostly resulted in the poison control center being called repeatedly, but also instilled in her the love of all things "green and growing". She has had her hands in the dirt and been playing with flowers her whole life. With an art background in her family, florals became her artistic expression.

I am a farmer’s wife, momma to four plus two in-laws, and mammaw to three. I have been around flowers my entire life and have always had a love and passion for putting different types of flowers together to create unique designs. Much of my learning started in my grandmother’s flower gardens many years ago. Over time, I enjoyed treating friends and family members to special flower arrangements and assisted in some wedding designs. My passion was put on hold a bit to raise our four children and support our family’s farm. Now that our children are grown, I pursued my dreams to own a flower business.

Our floral department is run by our Director of Floral & Event Design, Kelly Bardon. She comes to us with a decade of experience working in the wedding industry. Her work has been featured on 100 Layer Cake, Grey Likes Weddings, Magnolia Rouge, Ruffled, and Martha Stewart Weddings.com. Her passion is large scale design and creative installations, but she gets just as excited planning the perfect bouquet for your small elopement.
