Mimosa Lake is an ideal location for a destination wedding or event. It offers Southern hospitality at its finest. The centerpiece of the property is the 30-acre private lake backdropped by 300 acres of open fields and 400 yr. old evergreen trees providing year-round beauty and privacy for your ceremony. The 7200 sq. ft. rustic barn pavilion and 420 ft. covered veranda overlook the lake. We are 30 minutes from Farmville, Blackstone, and South Hill Virginia. This stately Georgian features an upper brick promenade surrounded by a limestone balustrade and opens to a double curved staircase to the lower terrace. The mansion's interior boasts extravagant architectural embellishment. Marble floors, ornamental cornices, plaster friezes, 18-foot columns with gilded Corinthian capitals, and custom crystal chandeliers please the eye from the onset. A Jeffersonian pool house with a hexagonal raised dome presides over a circular pool with bluestone terraces and a limestone balustrade. Nearby, you will discover a tennis court complete with a covered viewing stand.
