“Liza photographed our small intimate wedding. From the outset, she set out to make sure the day went smoothly and that we would get the best pictures possible on our special day. We explained to her that our wedding would consist of a very short ceremony and a dinner. The rest of the night would be some games and hanging out, but no dancing. Our original vision was to have her photograph the ceremony, group shots, and the dinner and skip couple portraits. After consulting with her, she recommended skipping the dinner photos (nobody looks good while eating) and photographing the ceremony, group shots, and, since our package left us with a remaining hour, plan for couple portraits before our ceremony. It was great advice and we're happy to have the couple portraits! On the day of she was very approachable and made us feel comfortable during our private session. She was clear when directing and arranging folks for the group photos. All of the pictures turned out great! I would definitely recommend Liza for any wedding or special occasion!”

“We just received our photos back from our wedding about a month ago, and we were blown away. We had a feeling the photos would be wonderful because of how professional and attentive our photographer (Athel) was, but of course there is always still that suspense. The team at Indigo and Ivory was wonderful throughout the entire process, always communicative, and it felt like they really cared. Athel even drove a good distance to attend an open house with us at our venue, to get some ideas ahead of time around what settings would be best. He was lovely throughout the whole event, super accommodating of our special requests, and captured all the most important moments. We cannot recommend them enough, the images came out amazing and we are getting tons of compliments! If there is anything I would do differently (and this is not any knock on Indigo and Ivory, this is just general advice for anyone looking to hire any photographer), I probably would have went ahead and added a second photographer for the day (which is something they offer). I wanted to cut costs a bit so we didn't go for it - but of course if you have two you will make sure to get all the different angles you are hoping for and then each person can spend a bit more time with both wedding parties to capture more of those candid moments. I also wish I had made sure to put together a better list of shots that I wanted - once again, these are items that I recommend in general and has nothing to do with Indigo and Ivory. If there are certain things you want your photographer to capture, make sure to write them down and communicate! With all that being said, even if you go with just one photographer and you happen to forget to write down all the specific moments or you just want things to be more free-flow - I 100% recommend Indigo and Ivory for you! They are wonderful and I'm so happy we have these gorgeous images to treasure for years to come.”

She created a timeline for the day and any thoughts I had she took them into account and found a way to incorporate them into the plan. Truely felt like a team because of how kind and thoughtful she is. Get to the day, she was a calming presence for sure. She showed up with a smile on her face and seamlessly cued the bridesmaids and myself throughout. She was present but didn’t hover it was the perfect balance. Along with that she was my hype girl throughout it 3 Now let’s talk about the pictures, I’m not used to getting my picture taken and feel so uncomfortable being the center of attention but she tells you every detail you need, and if something doesn’t look right she’ll correct it gracefully in the moment. I felt like I got to enjoy my day without it feeling like a photoshoot. She delivered the pictures so fast!! A couple of my bridesmaids made comments about how fast the turnaround time was…and they were breathtaking!! Better than I ever could have imagined, I can’t stop looking at them. Not a moment was missed and due to her talent we have the most perfect picture to remind us of our special day for the rest of our lives. Do yourself a favor and book with her, worth every penny.”
