The Oliver Building Event Space encompasses 3 floors of a lovingly restored 1880s building in Kansas City's Historic West bottoms. Countryside Chalet provides a beautiful setting on nearly 10 acres. Our venue includes an estate house with six bedrooms and five full bathrooms, an event pavilion accommodating over 200 guests, a multi-level landscaped outdoor ceremony site and a secret garden offering relaxing gathering areas. These spaces are located behind thick trees nearly ¼ mile off of the paved county road providing a uniquely private setting. Countryside Chalet was created as a property rental venue allowing you maximum flexibility to bring your own vendors and to create your dream event.

Our venue offers an all wood Amish barn, tucked back in the trees, next to Emma creek. The numerous mature trees, multiple flower beds and 2 fire pits offer a wonderful outdoor atmosphere! The barn features a kitchen, a bar, men’s and women’s restrooms, a loft, a covered deck and a large area for dining and dancing. The barn can hold up to 200 people and has the option for an indoor ceremony, should the need arise. The outdoor space features a limestone stage for a ceremony, plenty of space for yard games, an outdoor dinner, outdoor dancing or hanging out by the fire pits. The outdoor party lighting provides a great atmosphere after dark. We have two parking areas, 1 large lot for guests and a smaller area for the wedding party and handicap parking.  Included in all packages: Chairs and tables for 200 people, bar stools, cocktail tables, wooden spools, arbors and use of the fire pits. We recently added a beautiful 3 bedroom log cabin available with our wedding packages!

Welcome to Cedar View Venue! We are a 3,800sq. ft. venue space with an attached 1,400 sq. ft. living quarters. Our venue offers rentals for one day, or a package deal for the weekend Friday-Sunday. We have chairs and tables to accommodate 200 guests indoors plus the wedding party as well as an additional 50 guests outside. The venue includes the living quarters for the day of the wedding, as well as options for overnight lodging included in wedding packages. ​Our names are Craig and Nancy Rogge, and we have lived on and owned this property for over 34 years. We have raised two children here and have used our barns and property all these years to raise horses, cows, chickens, ducks, rabbits, cats, and dogs. We have 30+ years of wonderful memories and stories on our little piece of paradise! ​Our barns were built in 1944 by a previous owner, Walter Kurzweil, who our street is named after and who used the property and barns for a dairy farm. Walter Kurzweil had deep ties to the Raymore community as well as had family connections to the Maxine Dean family (Walter was her Uncle), another prominent Raymore name. ​ If you go back even further, our property was granted to a young man in 1857 as part of the “ScripWarrant Act of 1847.” At that time, public land was gifted through this Act to military personnel for their service in the Mexican-American War.
