Originally a stable for the Smith Brothers Steam Bakery, the second floor stored the horses’ feed and bedding. We restored the old beauty of this historic building while leaving the original hayloft doors and beams still intact. Today, The Hayloft at Lifted Spirits is a place to share moments, milestones and memories. We can host events with up to 175 people.

The Grandeur is an intimate boutique venue that accommodates up to 75 guests comfortably. Perfectly suited for micro weddings, rehearsal dinners, engagement parties, bridal showers and baby showers. Our unique complete wedding experience allows you to customize your special day by choosing the room decor from an array of colors and linens options, all complimentary with the venue rental. Dinnerware, silverware, and charger plates are also included with rental. Allow our staff to prepare the room for your in advance and clean up afterwards so that you can have a stress-free experience and enjoy your guests. We provide this service at no additional fee. Our jumbo video screen and projector, sound system, and all AV equipment is there for your use, also included with rental fee. Open catering and bartending policies round out our offering to you. The Pilgrim Center and its predecessor have been building community in midtown, Kansas City, Missouri for nearly 50 years. In the late-1960’s, a group of involved neighborhood leaders first gathered in Westport to address the issues of violence and crime that were overtaking their historic neighborhood. Out of their discussions, the Westport Allen Center was born, and two young seminarians, Roger and Liz Coleman, were invited to lead this organization. The Westport Allen Center purchased a building and began offering the space free to groups interested in improving the community. Before long, the first Free Clinic in the area opened, rehearsal space was provided for what would become the Kansas City Ballet, the Allen Edison school was founded, and affordable housing for seniors created in the neighborhood. Making childcare, education, healthcare, senior living, and arts programming available to the area were big steps in rebuilding a healthier community for Westport.

Upside Studios KC is a historic, truly rustic, event space located in the west bottoms of Kansas City. The building dates back to the early 1900s. With over 5500 square feet of unique space, you will find something different in every nook and cranny, from exposed brick, pillars, patina, original wood floors and so much more that makes for optimal photos along with being right outside the 12th street bridge! Our space can host 150 seated and 200 people total.
