The Fields of Blackberry Cove

4.8

Weaverville, NC
  • Up to 450 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $5,000

The Fields, on 21 rolling acres, awaits you at the end of Reems Creek Valley. With breathtaking views of the Blueridge Mountains. We are minutes from, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and downtown Asheville, NC. The Barn is a 3,200 square foot converted stable, a unique rustic barn with the elegance of 21 chandeliers, 2000 square foot Patio draped with Tuscan lights. The Barn is the perfect setting for a relaxing and comfortable celebration, whether it’s a rustic elegant wedding for 50 or 500 guest. The Lodge is a 5,000 square foot Conference Center. The Great room has 20 foot vaulted ceilings. The Boardroom will seat 14 people at a conference table. There are 2 additional dressing rooms upstairs. The largest of the dressing rooms is known as the Brides Room, providing a relaxing and calming feel, with large vaulted ceilings, and views of the mountains.

The Fields of Blackberry Cove was such a beautiful venue and very affordable compared to other wedding venues, especially when considering the location. You are surrounded by mountains and have multiple locations on site where you could hold the ceremony (multiple oak trees and arches you can use free of charge). This venue is great for those looking to hold the ceremony and reception in the same place. We got married outside and then held dinner, provided by the venue with additional fees, and the after party in the barn. The dinner provided by the venue was delicious and made the whole process a lot less stressful because they took care of everything. We were able to serve alcohol and beer/wine/Truly that we purchased ourselves, and Doug provided ice, cups, and a bartender that we paid 60 dollars an hour. With about 100 guests, the barn made for a perfect dance floor. I didn't hire a wedding planner, so I planned the wedding by myself. Doug, the venue owner, was easy to work with and very experienced in planning weddings. He never really clarifies specific things the venue does or does not provide, so be sure to ask! He was funny and an enjoyable presence, but he got a little sassy on the wedding day when I couldn't decide if I should move the ceremony into the barn due to inclement weather. Regardless though, it worked out and everything went to plan! 100% recommend to anyone who doesn't want to spend 15000 on a wedding.

Zelda Dearest

Zelda Dearest is an artful love letter to Asheville, where the spirit of southern hospitality comes to life. Hidden away like a secret garden in downtown's South Slope neighborhood, this refined hotel captures the worldly and creative essence of Zelda Fitzgerald. Just as Zelda enchanted the world, this hotel enchants its guests with graceful hospitality, indulgent surroundings, and an irresistible charm. Each unique room in these elegantly restored Victorian buildings is an homage to the historic architecture of Asheville and the artful spirit that surrounds it. When Zelda fell in love with F. Scott Fitzgerald, they spent their lives in hotels and seeing the world. This space embodies Zelda’s romantic, enigmatic spirit and provides the perfect, unique venue for your intimate wedding. Asheville held a special place in Zelda's heart, and we humbly honor her memory through our sincere hospitality, exquisite accommodations, and our adoration for this beloved little city.

We fell in love with the pictures of the buildings and rooms online and couldn’t have imagined it being even better in person. The staff was incredibly attentive and welcoming. The hotel rooms and venue were absolutely beautiful and included details that made it that much more special. The close proximity to downtown action was so convenient for venturing out but you really feel tucked away in your own little world at Zelda Dearest. We are already looking forward to our next visit to Zelda Dearest and anticipate many more trips in the future since their team knocked it out of the park for our event!

Homesteads Events

5.0

Gastonia, NC
  • Up to 300 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor
  • Starts at $4,500
  • Offer

Homesteads Events at Loray Mill is a banquet hall wedding venue located in Gastonia, NC. The open-plan event space provides an old-world, industrial ambiance for your wedding event. Homesteads Events can accommodate a range of celebrations, from an intimate engagement party to a grand wedding soiree. The main event hall offers space for up to 300 guests and features 38-foot-high ceilings and exposed brickwork throughout the entire area. Large windows allow natural light to flood the space, adding a sense of bright airiness to the room. Poured concrete floors, original wooden pillars, and exposed beams lend charm and character to the banquet hall, which can be personalized with your own decor. Also available is a one-bedroom loft apartment with a full kitchen that can be used as your honeymoon suite for your wedding night. Homesteads Events offers a range of all-inclusive packages to ensure your event needs are fully met.

Our experience with Homesteads was absolutely top notch. My husband and I have been involved in over 200 weddings between planning, coordinating, catering, attending, being in the bridal party, and now as bride and groom--so we have truly seen the full spectrum of wedding vendors and venues. From our very first meeting to our wedding day and even beyond, the staff at Homesteads has exceeded our expectations. Venue director Hannah is professional yet relatable and gave us helpful tips and recommendations along the way, responded to all our questions in a timely manner, and overall made our entire day flow smoothly. Catering director Kim is a sweetheart and worked with us to create several versions of our menu and was patient as my (former chef) husband made tweaks over the course of several months. The day-of staff and bartenders were outstanding--serving our guests with excellence, making them feel welcome, and contributing to the overall atmosphere we had envisioned. They brought us food and drinks all night and we didn't have to think about anything except enjoying the party we had spent so many months planning! So many of our guests commented on how beautiful and unique the venue was. There are so many different event spaces at Loray Mill and we ended up hosting our rehearsal dinner / welcome party there as well--truly a full-service venue. With so much to plan for our wedding, it was a huge relief that they also provided tables & chairs, linens, catering, alcohol, bar service, security, etc. and we didn't have to "Frankenstein" all of those details. Many of our vendors were already familiar with the venue which was a huge plus as well. We love Hannah and Homesteads and would recommend this venue and this team to absolutely anyone!

Separk Mansion

5.0

Gastonia, NC
  • Up to 250 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor & outdoor

Separk Mansion is a wedding venue located in Gastonia, North Carolina that is just 20 minutes from Charlotte. This renovated mansion is designed with beautiful weddings in mind and will give you an elegant backdrop that will create a celebration that is full of everlasting memories. Separk Mansion is ideal for both indoor and outdoor weddings. The first floor ballroom retains old vintage hardwood floors and has a ceiling that shimmers with crystal chandeliers. At the front there is a large staircase as well as large front doors that lead to an expansive limestone veranda that can be used for a cocktail hour. This impressive estate was built in 1919 by textile mogul Joseph Separk. He lived in the mansion with his wife and son during the 1920s. In 2012 it underwent complete renovation and is currently one of the most popular locations for ceremonies and receptions. The mansion is part of the York Chester Historic District and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Working with Separk was super easy from start to finish. We had Hannah as our wedding coordinator and she did a great job with creating and sticking to the timeline. She also did great at setting up our decor items and some flowers we brought to the venue. She was very communicative with us and our bridal party/family so that everyone knew what was expected from them for the ceremony. Overall we had a great experience with Separk and had the most perfect wedding thanks to them!
