Ryan began his wedding videography career in 2010 in Los Angeles and quickly became recognized as one of the top videographers in the U.S.. After relocating to DC and still receiving countless inquiries from all corners of the country, Ryan decided to recruit and train a few talented friends so he could continue offering the quality wedding videography he’s known for in SoCal and eventually over 10 cities. Shutter and Sound is a very small group of filmmakers dedicated to turning your big day into a work of art.

Hey there! I'm Fernando Ávila. I founded Ellyce Wedding Films while my wife and I were planning our wedding in 2019. By this point, I had already accumulated 15 years of experience shooting wedding videos and my wife simply couldn't understand why I wasn't booking my own clients. She encouraged me to explore the idea. So, here we are. I named my company after my wife, Ebony Ellyce Ávila.

Hello! I’m Amy Lynn, owner and lead videographer at Forever Hello Films. I've been a fashion photographer and music video director for 13 years, and storytelling has always been at the heart of my work. When my closest friends started getting engaged and approached me wanting me to be involved in documenting their days I knew creating films was what I wanted to do for them. The truth is, I love love. I wanted to capture their day in a way that would truly allow them to relive those moments again and again. Re-experiencing the love they shared on that day and what it felt like in a way that feels like them.

I wasn't born with a camera in hand, but I was born with a passion for telling stories. I started college with dreams of becoming a young adult writer, but a screenwriting seminar taught me that video can tell a story more powerful than words alone ever could. Now, instead of dreaming up fictional love stories, I get to document real ones.

Better 1/2 started in 2011 in the San Francisco Bay Area. In 2019, I relocated to Chicago. I've filmed about 30 weddings for couples with a range of venues and guest counts. What's consistent is my style, which is personal and beautiful. I tell each couple's wedding story in a tailor-cut video, highlighting the big moments and spotlighting the small ones.

Having grown up on a farm in Central Illinois, I am a filmmaker living in Chicago. I began doing wedding videography in 2017 while living in Bend, Oregon. I love intimate, small-scale weddings and elopements.

John is a Chicagoland native. After graduating and traveling, he returned back to Chicago’s Lakeview and South Loop neighborhoods. In 2009, he married his wife Sarah, and moved back to their native Oak Park to raise their two children, Stella and George. I grew-up in Belém, the state of Pará, in Brazil. When I explain where Belém is, I always say it is next to the Amazon. I also say what a beautiful city it is. After Belém I moved to Rio, where I realized how much passion I have for photography. It wasn't until I came to Chicago that I could be myself and do what I love. I studied video before photography and started doing short films. Today, I am a photographer and videographer with a great heart, who wants to capture memories. This is the way I express myself.
