Hi! I am a documentary wedding filmmaker and award winning documentary filmmaker, shooting digital and Super 8 film. I am also a birth doula/photographer (remember me down the road!), and bring a sense of calm, groundedness and an appropriate level of assertion to wedding days. I consider weddings exciting opportunities to step into communities and make something beautiful that reflects exactly who people are and their experience. I made a documentary film that went to festivals around the world, played at the Museum of Modern Art, won multiple awards and was written about in The New Yorker. I shot and recorded sound for the entire film on my own, as a one-woman band, as I do for almost all weddings. Along with my documentary work, being a birth doula very much informs my wedding work. Weddings, similar to birth, are days of major life transitions, and who you choose to be there with you is so important.
