Just across the parking lot sits the Longhouse & Annex comprised of an additional eight inn rooms and offering a bit of privacy from the hustle & bustle of the main events.

Having our wedding at Mad River Barn is the best decision we made during our planning process. During our initial tour, Adrienne's calm and collected demeanor, event planning experience, and confidence in her team immediately hooked us, and was very apparent the day of. Throughout our wedding weekend, we always felt like we were in good hands - taken care of and our preferences valued. The professionalism, courtesy, and heart of all staff members was unparalleled throughout the weekend. Chef Sam is also a huge selling point - with a strong emphasis on locally sourced and seasonal ingredients the food he and his team cooked for our wedding was unbelievably tasty. During our tasting prior to the event, many members of our party were so moved by the clear passion Chef Sam has for his craft. We can promise you will not be disappointed, and your expectations will likely be far exceeded, if you select Mad River Barn for your special events!

Sugarbush Resort is a mountain destination wedding venue in Warren, Vermont. Located in Vermont’s picturesque Mad River Valley, the resort specializes in offering you a full wedding weekend experience. Between our three event venues, there are many options for your wedding, welcome and farewell events. In addition, there are a variety of lodging options ranging from slope-side luxury accommodations to quaint New England-style Inns. Guests can also maximize the full wedding getaway with a round of golf at our award-winning golf course, enjoy a hike or scenic lift ride through the Green Mountain National Forest or head into the local villages to visit the Waitsfield Farmers Market, Lawson's brewery, local shops, and general stores. With our dedicated on-site wedding coordinators, plenty of stunning venue spaces to choose from, and customizable food and beverage offerings, Sugarbush has everything you need to create the wedding celebration you envision.

My daughter had her wedding at Sugarbush August 10th. I would give Sugarbush a million stars if I could! EVERYTHING exceeded our expectations from the venue to the food to the hotel and especially to the Staff. Beth Crawford was the planner assigned to my daughter’s wedding. Her kind, positive, calm and organized approach was more than we could have hoped for. She worked with my daughter to create her dream wedding and was always available for any questions that arose during the planning process. Molly Quinn Pasic was also there for all the weekend festivities, always with a smile on her face willing to help. What a team they made! They dealt with the vendors and made sure everything was perfect, running smoothly and on time. Hailegh, the food and beverage manager worked behind the scenes to provide an exceptional meal with a wonderful staff (Maggie is the only waitstaff I recall and she like the others was great!). The bartenders were phenomenal (Jimmy is the only name I remember and he was awesome) There was never a wait at the bar and food was served promptly. Valerie at the front desk at Claybrook was amazing! By the end of the weekend I felt like she was part of the wedding. Jen at the Lodge at Lincoln Park was so helpful and kind. The chair lift operators were incredible, loading everyone in an efficient manner, stopping the lift and helping those with walkers and wheelchairs on and off. I can’t emphasize how absolutely incredible the whole staff was with special kudos to Beth and Molly for always going above and beyond! I think that the people at Sugarbush are what make weddings there so special but the venue plays a close second. It is absolutely beautiful! A huge perk is that everything is on grounds so that when you arrive, you park and you don’t need to touch your car until you leave on Sunday. The Rehearsal Dinner, Welcome Party, and Wedding After Party were held at Castlerock Pub. The cocktail hour was on the Courtyard followed by the reception at Claybrook. The morning after Brunch was at Rumbles. We were fortunate that the ceremony could be held at the Gatehouse Mountain Top. The wedding day was a sunny day sandwiched between 2 days of monsoon like weather. But even if the ceremony had to be held inside, there was a contingency plan and it would have been beautiful. So many people told us that it was the best wedding that they had ever been to. One guest had been to several ski resort weddings and said “hands down, Sugarbush was the best!” I 100% agree and would wholeheartedly recommend Sugarbush to anyone who is looking for a perfect wedding weekend!

The Tillerman Inn & Restaurant

5.0

Bristol, VT
  • Up to 160 guests
  • Select services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $20,750

At The Tillerman, we like to make people feel at home. We are an inn, restaurant and event space restored and reimagined from its 1790’s bones and we’re all about the small, meaningful details that create sense of place. When folks leave here they feel like they have had an experience that feeds the soul. Our food is impeccably sourced from local farms, producers, vendors, makers and ranchers. We are entirely committed to quality and keeping our food simple and rustic. We want our guests to feel like they're going to a big dinner party at their friend’s house who also happens to be the best cook and host they know. Our vibe is old New England meets northern California meets a flower market meets a farmers market meets a warm, vibrant community. Everyone is welcome at The Tillerman. We are inclusive of all races, disabilities, ages, sexual orientations, religions, languages… We love love, and we’d love to meet you!

Planning our microwedding at the Tillerman was such a lovely and low-stress experience, and our wedding day could not have been more perfect. We were able to customize our day to be uniquely ours, without being overwhelmed with choices or having to book extra vendors. The Barn at the Tillerman is such a beautiful venue for a reception, the fire pit was a huge hit with our guests, and it was so nice to walk back to our room in the inn, exhausted, and fall into the most comfortable bed with lovely linens. We left the menu and dessert menus completely up to the Tillerman and were blown away by the quality and quantity of fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented food. We customized our bar offerings, decided on a long family style table set-up, and left the rest up to the Tillerman. Kenzie was amazing, supportive and prompt in every way, and was how we knew a microwedding at the Tillerman was right for us. We envisioned a romantic and whimsical day of celebration with our closest friends and family and the Tillerman delivered, keeping the entire experience stress free and for a very reasonable cost. Thank you so much to Kenzie, Kate and Jason, Kelsey, and the entire staff at the Tillerman for giving us the best wedding day.
