  • Starts at $2,000
  • Serves Damascus, MD

I present fun, elegant, and exciting Wedding Photography for my clients. My style is photojournalistic; I feel it's the most effective way to tell a story. After all, there is so much happening on a wedding day. Between the ceremony, dancing, and endless extravaganzas, the most memorable moments will naturally occur.  My goal is to capture the emotions and memories of your day through my lens. These recollections are your forever keepsakes, a chapter of your life's story. Every image accounts for those who were by your side, delighted for you, and the next step in your journey. I appreciate you for giving me a few moments of your time.t

Portraits By Sean was an exceptional choice for our wedding photography. They had great communication from start to finish, which made the planning process smooth and stress-free. They were extremely helpful in getting all the photos we wanted and more - Sean was very thorough, very prompt and very patient in capturing every moment. He arrived early and was extremely patient in making sure we got everything done that we wanted. We couldn't be happier with the quality of their work and the value they provided on our special day.

Requiem Images

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,750
  • Serves Damascus, MD

We're a pair of super fun wedding photographers, filmmakers + elopement planners (also officiants) and we're already your biggest fan <3 Award winning! Multi published! Featured in magazines! Neurodivergent! LGBTQ+! Artistic! Unique! Vintage videos! One-of-a-kind timelapse films! We love working with film + vintage video cameras, capturing little moments others forget about, and creating portraits that would make David Lynch + Alexander McQueen weep with excitement. Contact us anytime day or night and we'll be super pumped to get to know you and explain more of what makes us so unique.

I cannot recommend Requiem Images enough. I randomly found them on Instagram when I was searching for an elopement photographer. Being a photographer myself, I am extremely particular and was a bit afraid I’d never find someone to live up to my expectations. Not only did kitty meet my expectations, she exceeded them. From start to finish, I was impressed with the professionalism and love that poured out of this amazing human. I am, per my own designation, an incredibly awkward subject. I’m used to hiding behind the camera, but Kitty made me feel so comfortable. I honestly can’t believe the images she was able to capture. Her attention to detail and ability to make people feel at ease are truly a gift. Not only did I use her for our elopement, but I also subsequently hired her for our family pictures, and then my own branding session. She has raw talent and an eye for the extraordinary. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Requiem Images to everyone I know (or don’t know!). Book them immediately. You will not regret it!!

Ivy & Quartz Photography

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,750
  • Serves Damascus, MD

Hi! I'm Nina and I run Ivy & Quartz photography! I shot my first wedding in 2013, but my journey with photography began long before that. When I was about 10 years old, my dad gave me a camera and I quickly became obsessed. My intrigue continued to grow over the years and I went on to earn my BA in Studio Art , Photography, from the University of Virginia. After graduating I worked as a portrait photographer and decided to pursue and earn my MFA in Imaging Arts from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Awarded Best of Zola
After friends shared a photo of my then fiance and me at their own wedding, we hired the photographer who took it. This was Nina! That one photo inspired us to review the gallery of their entire wedding and then her portfolio and we were blown away. 7 months later our own wedding day arrived. My husband and I are the type of people who are wildly present and constantly forget to take photographs of our life together. We knew we wanted to capture this day without the photography becoming a chore or hindering our ability to do what we do best and enjoy our time. Nina was able to provide just that and was incredible (as was the second photographer she worked with for our big day). Nina seamlessly handled all the chaotic moments and pre-ceremony stress of the very emotional bride (me) in stride! With very little direction she navigated all aspects of a wedding day with absolute poise and grace. I cannot thank her enough for taking on such leadership and just GETTING IT DONE! Nina captured all the big and tiny pieces that go into a wedding and I felt her photo choices, angles, and poses perfectly captured the essence of me and my husband's personalities. At every avenue Nina was a professional, personable, and I never expected I could be so satisfied with a collection of photographs. THANK YOU SO MUCH NINA.

When I am not behind the camera or editing photos, I enjoy short Uber rides to bottomless brunch on the weekends; right now mimosas and I kinda have a thing going on! I have a special relationship with bourbon and FIRMLY believe in putting food on the grill during late afternoons should be the norm. I am blessed to be married to the happiest person on earth (I am so serious), who just happens to double as my favorite person. She keeps me grounded and never fails to remind me how great she is.

Awarded Best of Zola
Wow can’t say enough amazing things about this photographer, he truly was one of the highlights of our wedding. Don’t walk to book him run! He was super focused, detail orientated, bilingual, fun and laid back. He captured so many incredible behind the scene moments and my family kept saying we didn’t even see him take that picture. We were nervous about not knowing how to pose. He made us so comfortable and had amazing poses. He captured intimate moments of our families reactions during the ceremony, speeches and partying. He helped the day flow so well and we couldn’t believe how amazing the pictures were. The turn around time for the pictures was also super fast. We had a bad experience with a photographer prior who ended up being a scammer and he truly saved our wedding day!! Thank you!

I am part of a husband and wife team. My husband Pete is a laidback Minnesotan and I grew up in Germany. Between the two of us we speak multiple languages. Though we are based in the DC metro area we love to travel for destination weddings!

Awarded Best of Zola
First of all, Anji and Pete are AWESOME!!!!! If you are considering a wedding photographer, engagement shoot, or just a lifetime shoot, look no further and book them. This power couple has some serious talent and it's to capture your day/moment in a way no one can. We couldn't thank them enough for our awesome engagement session and because we loved the shoot so much and the pictures even more, we booked them for our wedding as well. They are so easy to work with and truly know what they are doing. It shows in the quality of the images we got. Every little detail is captured and we got sneak peaks the day after our wedding! The best thing is that our entire family and all of our friends loved them. They were so respectful, personable, and friendly and they even remembered most of our family and friend's name and called them by it. Everyone loved our pictures as well. They both work incredibly together and they have an understanding like no other couple in the business. Best of all was that they moved like stealth. The last thing you want is a photographer who is constantly in your face and that you notice walking around taking pictures. We didn't have that feeling at all! In fact, we were quite surprised by some of the pictures they took because we didn't notice they were around us. Working with them is a breeze and they are super responsive to emails, phone calls, text. They are timely, friendly, listen to what you are looking for, and are truly passionate about what they do. Which is also what makes them great! Again, my husband and I absolutely LOVE them! And so do all of our family as well as all of our friends. Give them a shot or should I say, let them give you a shot (pun intended) and meet them. You will be so pleased with their work as well as their personality. I am so excited I have met and found them and look forward to a future shoot with them already :)

Awarded Best of Zola
Lindsay and Greg have been a pleasure to work with so far! My fiance had them there to photograph our proposal and I liked them so much that we booked them for our engagement and wedding sessions as well. We are both slower to open up type of people and Lindsay and Greg have been really easy to talk to. We didn't feel awkward and were comfortable with them. We have some beautiful photos and everyone has complimented their work. I can be anxious, but Lindsay has been really easy to work with. She has a calm presence and I really like how she's set me at ease! Lindsay and Greg targeted their work to match things that we wanted to incorporate. I shared some Pinterest images with Lindsay and she saved them and actually posed us in them during our session! I offhandedly mentioned one of my favorite shots from our proposal during our engagement shoot and they came up with something so cute to do that matched the vibe of that right then and there! I also was honest with Lindsay about poses I didn't like up front and she made sure to pose me in a way that I felt like allowed me to be more confident and comfortable. We can't wait to see what they can do at our wedding!

Hey, I'm Chris! Dog-lover, latte-lover, gym-lover, and cookie-lover I justify the cookies by going to the gym. One of my life goals is to have enough dogs (dachshunds and corgis) to create a sled team. I will use this sled team to pull myself around while shooting your wedding. I’m joking, unless you really want me to, in which maybe WE should get married.

Awarded Best of Zola
Chris was an absolute dream to work with and made my surprise engagement shoot fun and easy! He was great with directing us on how to stand/position ourselves, which can be uncomfortable if you’re not used to standing in front of a camera. Chris felt like an old friend and he made us feel confident which in turn helped our photos to come out beautifully! We were so pleased with the final product, but I want to emphasize how much we enjoyed the process itself. Chris is professional and kind - hire him, hire him, hire him!!!

What if your wedding photos showed how you felt, not just how you looked? When you choose me to photograph your wedding, we’ll sit down to figure out what photos are must-haves and how you want your day to feel. Your images will capture your day in its entirety: the spontaneous joy, the precious family photos, the experience you created for your guests. Less posing. Less fussing. More celebrating.

Awarded Best of Zola
Hiring Kelly was absolutely one of the best decisions that we made for our wedding and we can’t recommend her highly enough. She spent so much time getting to know us before the wedding, and our photos very clearly reflect her attention to capturing what was important to us. We really wanted to see the joy and breadth of emotions of the day and wanted photos that reflected our wedding as vibrant and loving, and that shines through in every photo!! Kelly is also so personable and brings such a wonderful energy to all parts of the process which made us feel so comfortable and so happy to have her with us! In addition to creating a photography schedule that was invaluable and that we shaped the rest of the schedule around, she made sure to note people’s accessibility needs and to work with us closely on comfort for everyone as we had a lot of access needs. She answered every question we had happily and was just such a wonderful part of our day!! She also did our engagement photos at Great Falls and they turned out just so gorgeous. I had a lot of anxiety about how I would feel about the photos as a plus size bride and Kelly listened to my concerns and made me so comfortable and I’m so so thrilled with the photos and feel gorgeous in all of them, which I'm very grateful for!

Are you tired of scrolling through wedding websites full of photos of shoes/calligraphy/earrings/etc. and wondering where the people are? Do you love moments more than things? If yes, you're in the right place. Forget about the table settings, instead embrace spontaneous joy and honest, natural moments.

Awarded Best of Zola
Darcy was an absolute pleasure to work with and we LOVE our photos. She truly captured the emotions of the day and the essence of all the people we love the most. Any time i look at our photos, i find myself involuntarily smiling. She captured the classic posed photos AND the precious in-between moments where people are being their most authentic selves (the face my dad makes when he's really intently listening, the hand gestures my mom uses when she's explaining something and can't find the right words, the face my mother in law makes when she's cracking herself up, the face my father in law makes right before the tears fall, and so so many more). Not ONLY are her photos amazing, but she made us feel so relaxed on the day-of. Her style is totally unobtrusive, which is just what we needed. Darcy got such amazing photos of all our guests we put 4x6" prints in our thank you cards and people were SO appreciative. She's on fridges across America. Comments we've gotten in response to Darcy's photos: "WOW your photographer is phenomenal", "this is the best photo of us in existence", "you guys look so happy!", "I feel like the photographer really captured your personalities" If capturing joy is important to you, hire Darcy. My only regret is getting her for 7 hours instead of 9.

We cannot say enough good things about Konrad and his incredible work on both our engagement shoot and our wedding day! From the very first consultation, it was clear that he was not only professional but also genuinely passionate about his craft. He took the time to understand our vision for photography and delivered beyond our expectations—without breaking the bank! After our engagement shoot he surprised us with a behind the scenes video of our day and we were sold on adding the video option to our wedding day. On the day of the wedding, he was calm, organized, and made us feel so comfortable. His attention to detail was amazing, capturing all of the candid moments, the beautiful portraits, and even the small, intimate touches we didn’t notice ourselves. He managed to blend seamlessly into the background while still getting the most stunning shots. What really stood out to us was his ability to balance both photography and videography without sacrificing quality in either area. The photos are breathtaking, and the 4 minute wedding video perfectly tells the story of our day, with all the right moments captured in the most beautiful way. We were also impressed with how quickly he turned around our photos and video—it didn’t take long to relive those precious memories! All of this came at a price that was surprisingly reasonable, especially when you consider the high level of service and talent he brings to the table. We truly feel like we got the best of both worlds: top-tier photography and videography at a price that fit our budget. If you’re looking for a photographer who will not only meet your expectations but exceed them, we highly recommend Konrad. Thank you for making our special day unforgettable!

Choosing Katelyn as our wedding photographer was undoubtedly one of the easiest and best decisions we made for our wedding day! We had the pleasure of seeing her work firsthand at a friend's wedding, with who knows how many cameras strapped on! Seeing her attention to detail firsthand and the beautiful quality of our friends photos, she was first on our list for a consultation. From our first call, Katelyn embraced our vision with enthusiasm and professionalism. We knew we wanted a documentary-style photographer with the option of film photos (we loved that Katelyn includes these already) who could capture the genuine emotions and candid moments of our wedding with our lively group, and Katelyn delivered! Despite our initial nervousness about being in front of the camera, Katelyn made us feel incredibly comfortable. Having an engagement shoot beforehand was a great practice run, she has an incredible talent for putting people at ease, and this truly shines through in the photos. We have never felt so photogenic! Our album turned out better than we could have dreamed up. It is truly reflective of us and our day. Complete with details of my treasured Kirkland sweatpants on the way to our venue contrasted with my dress glam Katelyn’s commitment to us was truly exceptional as she had a family loss shortly before our wedding. It would have been more than understandable for her to need more time away or to find us a replacement. Despite this, Katelyn remained fully committed to capturing our day and we are so so grateful. Her dedication and professionalism during such a difficult time speaks volumes about her passion for her work and for her clients. Katelyn is a true artist and an amazing person. Her work exceeded all our expectations, and we feel so fortunate to have had her as part of our wedding team. The only question we have is how early is too early for a vow renewal so we can hire her again!

Working with Jaye was an absolutely a blessing. My husband and I both enjoyed working with her. She made us feel very comfortable and we had lots of fun taking our engagement pictures and wedding photos. ALLL of my photos came out great! My mother and mother in law loved them. Jaye even worked with me on my Thank You cards which were a absolute hit!. Professionalism is awesome she kept in touch not only with me but also my coordinators. She shocked me by being at my wedding rehearsal to see how things were going to go, where she could stand and where she would be able to get good pictures, in which I really appreciated! I plan on working with Ms. Jaye more within the future. Also my photo album is gorgeous and the video was clear and the editing was great!

I believe that the best wedding photos aren’t just images—they're feelings, memories, and stories frozen in time. I specialize in capturing authentic, emotional, and timeless moments that make couples feel truly special. With a keen eye for raw emotions and genuine connections, I create a visual narrative that reflects the real magic of your wedding day. My passion is turning fleeting moments into lasting memories, so you can relive the love, laughter, and joy for years to come. Let’s tell your love story—beautifully, naturally, and just the way it happened.

When we started our search for photographers, we knew we wanted to work with someone we "clicked" with because that would translate to us being comfortable in front of the camera. I remember the first call with Demetric and just feeling such a sense of ease compared to other photographers we had spoken with, which continued into our first meeting in DC. His flexibility and advice through our planning process was so helpful too.

On our wedding day, Demetric made us and our guests feel so comfortable -- this is such a gift to any couple on a day that is fueled by all of the emotions. Demetric's thoughtfulness, guidance, and joy were so special to have as a part of this day. And while we got to experience someone with such a relaxed demeanor, we know his focus is always on the details of the compositions and capturing unique images in his beautiful style. Demetric's work is incredibly dynamic and his photos are so rich -- we are counting down the days to see more photos from our wedding day!

All in all, if you want someone who is going to roll with the punches, give you awesome ideas, and make you feel at ease, Demetric and his United Photography team are the way to go!
